I started this yesterday. I finished it earlier, and added a few final touches to it.
Specs-
Green P4
Modified (More like hacked) 4 AAA battery holder.
PVC hilt (I coupler two pieces of pipe, one male end, one female end, and a cap)
Aluminum Heatsink from TCSS
Guarded switch stolen form Ultrasabers Phantom :D
This is what I started with
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2002.jpg&hash=1f09475d21d388afb5a24d753a3e9bf07f05a274)
But i put it together, it just didn't look right. ::) ;D
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2004.jpg&hash=1b2a2548e3d58717e8cc1ad3d8496164af306629)
So I tried again, this way
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2003.jpg&hash=e4caae16a17303b2b4a2542e94705f7ab0492db8)
But UI liked it better this way
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2005.jpg&hash=cb8676993e22857f957f06e3cb32652e95eabaa6)

Next I added a D-ring.
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2006.jpg&hash=fea2b716a448a371178d766dc557341b37528f8c)
Then i cut and shaped my emmitter (Not a good pic)
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2001.jpg&hash=8006654ca419e62b6c0667f4b07cbb355a07e4b9)
Then i painted it once, and then twice
(https://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi861.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab179%2Fjwmotors%2FPVCbuild2007.jpg&hash=4b848e809fe8f745286528f6127e3bc1e3e21d02)
I wired it, and drilled some holes into the emitter section for windows. (They line up too. :D)

Very cool, Caden! :o :o :o Your building skills continue to improve!
In Yoda's voice: "In your future, sabersmithing I see....."
-
GREAT JOB, CADEN!!!!!
-
Awesome man!! It looks great! ;D
-
Thanks guys! i hate ot say it, but the pommel end is sketchy.
I had ot radically alter the battery pack and perform some Dremel-hack on the inside ot get the pack to fit. but it sure as heck don't move. ;D as for sabersmithing, I'm going ot get a few more of these hanging on my belt, and try ot make and Ebay some. In the distant future it may be... :D After i figure otu the finer points of sabercrafting.
In the picture where I'm holding the saber, i look like 'm stoned. ;D ;) But I wasn't. :D Just happy with my work!
I'll be gone this weekend, in New York state visiting my Bro at Westpoint. (USMA). This and my curved hilt are traveling with me. ;D

Cool, ....ur on a sabermaking spree! Looking good! Excellent set-up, well thought out, good paint job and seems to be a quality piece.
"We will be watching your future with GREAT interest"

How much do these average cost-wise, Caden? (To build)
-
I figured it out the other day, and depending on the blade you buy, it can come in between $70-85 dollars. Not bad if you already have paint and PVC cement. (otherwise it's about $95) My last two have been scraped together from some almost derelict Ultrasaber's hilts and blades i had from My Phantom.
-
Yeah man.
I thought, what the heck are you doing with that PVC.
Now that I've seen it painted I really see the whole.
You probably knew all along how it would look at the end.
Good for you.
We need people who are doing what they have in mind, to see how it goes.
And look how it turned out.
Very good.
I'm impressed.
-
Nice work, Caden. Your skills are nearly complete!
-
Thanks Guys! I took some inspiration from your PVC threads Qui-gon. the last three pages were really helpful. ;) 8)
Matth- it seemed like it wasn't going ot work when my battery pack wouldn't fit. Then I though, heck, I'll just cut it and see what happens. I knew what it was supposed to look like but I wasn't sure it was going to look that way at the end.
but with a little ingenuity, it came out better than expected.
If Goodman ever logs back on and sees my PM, then I'll have some heatsinks coming my way! And then I'll have a P4 U-bin to use. :D
the emitter is also swappable from this hilt ot the curved hilt since it just screws into place.
-
Nice work, Caden! Nice to see someone else working on PVC other than me ;)
One of these days take a try at one with a cheap economy sound board.

Hey caden...
this is an ingenious work my friend, from the name up to the final score .. congrat, you have one great aptitude to take to the reality his imagination :o :o
-
Another saberbuild "slipped through my fingers". :D
Awesome job Caden. It's hard to believe it started as a PVC. It looks great. I love how the emitter came out.

Thanks guys! It was up as a contest as to which One I liked bet, and enough ot enter the latest contest, but It finally came out a "Sith Heritage." but for spinning and saberplay, this one tops any hilt I've handled so far.
