DANG! That's a lot of ambient light.
Except for the makoto green... it seems underwhelming on the snow compared to the others, even when you have both makotos out the blue overwhelms the green.
Camera effect?
Either way, some break from shoveling.
Next time you need a better camera and an opponent!
Well the green in person looks great to me, but yeah, on camera it looks not as bright as the others. During some other videos I made the blue also looks like it's casting more light (in the video) but in person I really think green and blue are equals or maybe even the green bests it. Could be because green is perceived brighter by the human eye? That's what I have been told.
I have been using an iSight camera (built into my laptop) for all my videos. The quality isn't the greatest, but also I have been reducing the video quality to upload to youtube as a smaller file, perhaps I don't need to compress the movie as much I'm not sure.
Regarding an opponent, I gotta get one! Just talked to a friend tonight with stick and sword training and he said he would duel me in a video. I told him we either gotta be good and not hit the blades or at least be super choreographed and not hit the blades too hard at all. I think the Makoto's can take it though, in his videos he slams his blades. Then, of course, he has the expertise to fix them if something happens! Definitely gotta get another person wielding a saber for sure.
The really cool thing would be to see it from a distance. I'll have to get my friend to stand far away, then the sabers look totally real.
lol at 1:14 i just had an image of a red saber weilding sith doing a somersault over the snow behind you maul style, and starting a saber fight..
that would have been awesome lol
edit just saw the end of the vid..
as nice as the makotos are... the hypers look and sound better hands down
me and my pal did a little vid a while ago these are just lux sabers mind i dont think id do it with my hyperblades lol incase they broke
im like you when it comes to my hypers lol i just swing them around like a jedi/sith
im on red my pals on green
I like your vid DarthSteve. I wish I could hear the saber sounds though, the music is covering them up :)
And yes, the Hyperblades can use more power and a BIGGER speaker which makes it so much better. Of course a larger diameter speaker would not work in Makoto because Makoto hilts are narrower and can only accomodate the smaller speaker. You can take out Makoto internals and put it into a different hilt, but Makoto hilts are really sweet and one of a kind. And the Makoto system is very LIGHT in weight, perfect for stunts and twirling. With hyperblade you can build a monster hilt and attach el monstro speaker. Not to mention the Hyperblade sound card has adjustable volume 8) The resonance I am trying to build into the pommel in my red hyperblade is starting to sound massive!
Good stuff there! Looks like you had fun!
Dig the ninja outfit LOL...
Also would be good to know
if all the sabers were fully charged and
what version of Makoto you have (i.e. V1, V2 or V3)
-C
I knew I wanted to make a vid in the snow so I fully charged ALL the sabers all day while shoveling. The hyperblades and the makoto's were all at full charge.
The breakdown is:
Blue Hyperblade
V2 Light (non) Deuling blade, Saber SD Soundcard vader font
Red Hyperblade
V2 Heavy Dueling blade, Saber SD Soundcard vader font
Green Makoto
V2 or V3 blade (not sure I got it on ebay), superONE soundcard with Jedi or Sith sounds on random startup
Blue Makoto
V3 blade (purchased directly from Makototsai), superONE 3-in-one soundcard with Jedi, Sith or Gundam sound choices (third button on saber)
:o
wow I've enjoyed the video;but,I got to thinking this;and,I started laughinglol :D :DIf you would have heard a noise behind you;and, you would have looked around ;and, you would have seen an at walker behind you------you would have crapped your pants lol :D :D :D
