hi bought this a few weeks ago from a guy when it arrived it was in a bit of a state (which i new about) the sound constantly cut out and reset itself and the nylon blade was terribly warped also the placement of the switch ment that the bubble strip couldnt go back on..
so i have rebuilt it, (this is my 2nd re-built hyperblade) i gutted it and started again from scratch,
i did my "usual" upgrades of the hyperblade system which was to replace the nylon blade with an ultraedge and re-enforce a certain part on the soundboard (parts that usually break easily)
and i refitted the switch so the bubble strip could be fitted and recharge port,
i also managerd to get a 36mm 8ohm 1 watt speaker in ther (its without doubt the loudest saber iv ever heard i actually had to turn it down slightly)
those speakers are awesome its the 1st time iv had a large speaker like that in a saber
this turns heads ever time its switched on!!
heres a few pics of it finished
replaced with the ultraedge blade
replaced the switch just under the 2nd bubble on the bubble strip flush with the rest of the bubbles
re-enforced the recharge port and fitted a large 36mm 1 watt 8ohm speaker... its insanely loud
fitted 2 retention screws for extra support to the blade
my luke anh graflex and vader hyperblades
YOUTUBE VIDS
(featuring my hoverboard lol)
other things i had to do was add more protection to the led strip for this i gave it a good wrap in cling film... (yes you heard that right)
it works supprisingly well and lets ALL the light through
and i had to rejiggle the placement of the boards and battery for ease of sd card access mainly
overall its a good solid saber and im very happy with it and i found a little trick with the battery..
when i use a flicker setting im getting around double run times than when using a static blade which is very handy getting around an hour plus now
i now have my replica luke graflex hyperblade (reviewd elsewhere) and replica vader hyperblade im going to do 1 more in green (probly) but im not sure which hilt to go for yet, i do however plan to have a switchable sound board.. by that i mean i will be able to swap over from the in hilt sound board to the blutooth sound board easily jull pull one out unplug it and pop the other one in,
i have a spare blutooth board here with no plans for it so why not... should be fun
