Seoul P5 RGB experimentation thread
« on: August 12, 2009, 08:39:58 AM »
Similar to goodmans LEDengin thread, I wanted to start showing my experiments with the Seoul P5 RGB. I did not want to clutter up the MLS unit thread, so here we go.

The 10 degree lens really fills up the blade with that purple... I think I like the 10 over the 5... as far as lenses go....

We always use the 10 degree.  It has always appeared to be the brightest solution to us ;D

P5 Red and Green in series. 10 degree optic on the Luv V setting in a US 1.1

It's very difficult to catch the color on film. In person it is yellow near the base with a green tinge near the tip.

with a P4 white

So the colour isn't mixing all the way to the tip? Maybe the red isnt getting all the way up? Would the tighter collimation of a 5 degree lens make a difference with that perhaps?

I think you got that exactly on film cause the Yellow base and green tip is very clear to me.
It could be your monitor, mine is calibrated.

Still find the purple more interresting.
Now we only need an acurate Mace Windu.

Great thread, we need more experimentation threads like this!

Are you potting the red die for dial-it-in purple, or are you running both red and blue dice in series for violet?

This is a great LED solution for those wanting color change/blending options, with the advantage of soundboard driving but without the hassle of packs that a 10W LED needs. And from the looks of it, these here are plenty bright, too!
