A Starkiller TFUII Inspired Custom Lightsaber
« on: June 18, 2013, 07:17:17 AM »
Hey all,

I'd like to show you a new saber coming off the Calvary Custom Sabers Bench. This is a TFUII Starkiller inspired saber, with influence from many members on the FXsabers and the in game shots as well. I'd like to give a shout out to Nyol Wendor, as his was used as a major inspiration. It is completely MHS Based, with custom cut shrouds to give it a unique style and feel, while retaining the starkiller look.

This saber packs a ton of features into its hilt. This includes an EZ-swap LED Modules and Battery Packs, A custom Dual Quartz Crystal Chamber, A full reveal Chassis, and a custom leather wrap. The wrap was done to look rough and imperfect, which explains the small gaps in the wrap and the roughness at either end. The box was also heavily modified from a TCSS Box #1. The Pommel Insert is a 3D printed Logo of my business. This saber is powered by a Crystal Focus v5.10.

All the Specs:
- Custom MHS Based Hilt
- Modified TCSS Box
- Wrapped Leather Grip. 100% black dyed Cowhide.
- Custom Cut Shrouds
- Brass Dual Quartz Crystal Chamber
- Swappable LED Modules (BBW Tri-Rebel, and RRG Tri-Rebel)
- 7.4v 18350 Li-ion pack. Instant EZ-swap for uninterrupted long term use.

This was definitely a challenge to build, but couldn't be happier with the finished product. I am putting it up for sale over in the Trade Federation, so be sure to check it out. :)

Nice build. The crystal chamber is nice an clean. I also like that there is room for upgrades to a CF 6 and Cex. (assuming both of the support rods are hollow)

Congrats to the new owner.

Love this saber. This is a particularly great job. I love what can be done with MHS parts, and that crystal chamber is tops!

Its refreshing to see a TFUII Starkiller. Great job, I really love the swappable LEDs. I wish more sabers utilized this feature, as its much cheaper and noob friendly way to have multiple blade colors without having a CF6 and CeX and a lot of money to drop lol.

Great job on the saber.  :D I hope it sells quickly.

Excellent workmanship. I love the TFU 2 Starkiller trailer saber design. This is a very nice looking piece and I'm sure she will sell fast. The reveal chamber, custom emitter, quick change led setup and batt solution all make this a great saber, especially at your sale price!

So glad you all like it.  8) I too like the Promo Version MUCH better than the in game version.

@Jango- The other tubes have threaded rod in them for support, but an extra brass tube could be added for a CFv6/CEX Upgrade pretty easily.

@Nemesis- I got the box idea from Noyl. Here is his thread: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?14338-Noyl-s-quot-Starkiller-quot-promo-lightsaber-(lots-of-pics)

Watch out Austin, the last time I built one of these, I had 3 requests for them within a day.  I was knee deep in TFUII Cover art sabers for over a month, lol.  Very well done and the new owner will have a gorgeous piece to add to their collection!  Very very nice.

FYI, Noyl modeled his after mine (if I am not misremembering our conversation at the time) and the next guy will model his after yours, and so it goes ;)

Great deal on a great looking saber with many quality attributes! Super clean. And the General is right...watch out for inquiries for a twin, or triplets!
