Thank you everyone. My wife is very worried...and i sure hope she never has to see that letter I just finished writing (where the money is, where the passwords are, usernames, etc. and goodbye...just in case). I don't think I have ever done anything more difficult in my life. I am not worried, but I am always prepared for any possible outcome. I am old hat at surgery. This is #9 for me and all of my pre-op testing was perfect so I don't foresee any problems. I will plan on checking in on Thursday at the latest and let y'all know how it went.
Hey everyone. As some know, I will be going in to have my rotator cuff repaired (again) tomorrow. I have a >75% tear in the tendons of insertion of the Teres Major, Supra and Infra-spinatus muscles (basically the entire rotator cuff). Bottom line: a 6 month recovery. 7 weeks off work. Can't sleep in a bed for 4 weeks minimum. Gonna be rough. I am hoping to be productive saber-wise, but that may or may not be possible. I am sure that I will log in to the major forums once I am up and at 'em, maybe 2-3 days post-op.
Thank you for your patience everyone!
Geez... sounds rough. Good luck! How do you sleep then, if no in a bed for the first 4 weeks?
It is tough. Have to sleep sitting up. Last time I slept in an over-sized chair for 5 weeks. This time, I have a 1 year-old Lazy Boy, but it is weird sleeping in the living room, lol. Just about the time you get used to the chair, you are comfortable enough to sleep in a bed again. It is a sleep-a-coaster for about 2 months. At least I know what to do this time.
Ohhhh, BTW I made the LEDs for Nightstorm and Vvenom's Awesomesauces tonight. I figured reflowing tri-rebels would be a bit rough on my manual dexterity for a few weeks, so I knocked them out. Clearly those two projects are "in progress" ;)
