I polished it once.  No clear, no more polishing.  I will let it weather naturally now and patina over time.

Others may choose to polish and clear coat or polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish and polish.

I should mention, all run sabers will be shipped 'machine finish' and some parts will have been tumbled (this also helps to remove machine marks and deburr edges).  I did nothing special to my saber.  I have a stand mounted buffer and used a polishing compound and two wheels (cutting and polishing) and spent a few hours polishing the parts (over a course of a few weeks as I finished various parts and components).  I never sought to get a mirror finish but it looks very shiny (and is hard to get good pictures of with my junky camera because of that).  I knew I would go weathered and wanted to start with a 'new' condition and let nature take it's course.  Some people will want a mirror finish and that should be possible with some elbow grease.

And...

I am back up with my laser engraver - so the stands will be ready as well.

Design for the stands will include a wood, gold and bronze mirror acrylic, and clear acrylic.

Pics to be pending....

Respectfully,

One day one these " unicorns" will fall into my hands, the force willing. ::)
I wouldn't know what to do with it. Leave it static, stunt or or full sound.

It just so PRETTY!

Wat's done such a great job on these.

You guys are on the homestretch  ;) I can't want for all the vids on the builds to come. It's gonna be EPIC.

Wow one of the most beautiful hilts ever  :o

Haha... Well, it's a fool's errand, boy. The Emperor's army is infinite. You'll eventually be killed... or worse... and nothing will have changed.

You need to change your name to " Michelangelo" these are true works of art. Bravo to the master once again.

Better cut on the alarm and get the armed guards cause that place looks like Fort Knox.

Such a beautiful sight.
Super excited about the freebie as well.  A very nice surprise.

Thanks again for making this happen Wat.  Huge props.

Just look at that line of sabers. What a piece of work is man,.. man, a piece of work is Wat!
These look like artifacts, found and on display, ready for the museum. It is almost a shame such a collection will be scattered around the world, as the visual power these have all together is phenomenal, and that is only photographed! You are a lucky man, Wat, to be able to see these all in one place. The people on this run will all be linked forever by these works. My gratitude is unwritable. My appreciation indescribable. You are an artist of no small calibre Wat. Thank you.

 Very well done, Erik!

Admittedly, at first I wasn't sure how close the grip sections and their PLI boxes would be, since the originals (I think) were extruded tubing and sheet brass pressed into/over a die. I have to say though, these ARE the "as first made" versions of the Penny. Attention to detail is spot on. I intend to keep mine fairly shiny, though perhaps not like a mirror. It should make a cool companion to the original Penny, that I'm hoping to have finished shortly.

Those of you getting one, I don't have to tell you how small a group you're becoming a part of. Even smaller than the K3GR owners, which is pretty exclusive in its own right. I feel like we need to have a secret handshake or something now. LOL  :))  MATCHING TATTOOS! YEAH, THAT'S IT.

Just kidding
