I'd be interested in one (maybe two) with sound.   :D

Wat, will various blade colors be available as was planned with the initial run?

Yes.  Pretty much the same color options as before.  I just got a reply from the acrylic company to reflect new prices.  Once again, i will need a minimum of 3 blades of a particular color to get that color (because I have to buy 4' lengths of material).  When run details and pricing are given later, all that will eb addressed.

Will one be able to put a blade in both ends? Just wondering. I know there would be almost no space after the LEDS, but I thought I would ask.

Just like the little Lego minifig saber, you can put blades in both ends - as long as you wanted to drill yourself another set screw hole.  I don't know about lighting them up though.  You can always figure that out when you have the saber in hand.  I will only be designing a single bladed version with sound holes and rechagre port in the pommel area.  Beyond that, it's up to you if you want to modify the saber.

I reworked the design to allow inclusion of a Crystal Shard (and since it is a bit smaller, Nano Biscotti should also fit) soundboard.  Power is a single 18650 li-ion cell and uses the new mini speaker from TCSS.  Also, I had to ditch the 2.1mm recharge port/kill key/switch from the original design and use a 1.3mm recharge port instead.  I added a switch (TCSS switch style 20 or 21) to take advantage of the FOC afforded by the use if the Crystal Shard.  LED will need to be a tri-rebel type LED with the shorter optic.  For Crystal Shard setups, you will have FOC.  For Nano Biscotti setups, you will just two of the three die.  It might be possible to use a taller LED/optic profile, but you will have to downgrade to an 18500 li-ion.

I have to get some pricing, crunch some numbers and get with some people before posting run details.  Just wanted to post an update of the design.
