ORBITAL MACHINING Obi-Wan Kenobi
TPM
#14 and #30
First of all, I want to thank everyone who made this run of the first and maybe last 100% screen accurate Obi-Wan TPM lightsaber possible! Special thanks to
Wat for his outstanding craftsmanship and customer service ( he went through xxx with shipping my packages! ), MH who did the installs on my #14,
to Jango who did #30 and to Madcow for his new Fates sound font!!! AWESOME WORK GUYS!!!
specs of the saber:- 100% screen accurate Obi-Wan Kenobi TPM hilt by Orbital Machining
- 10 Watt LedEngin BBBB with FoC
- red knurled button power on switch and purple hemi in brass valve aux button
- CF 5 with Madcows new Fates font!
- easy sd card and kill key access through pommel endcap
Number 14 has the led bezels opaque and will be my 1000% screen accurate display piece ;D, number 30 has the shine through bezel option and
is for my personal joy. I also found a very nice katana swords bag that fits the saber with the blade installed perfect and it has enough outer bags to carry the hero blade plug
and the recharger separated ;)
#30 had the red button and valve a little bit loose and after reading through the instructions that Wat shipped with the sabers, I decided to use some special lubricant for
screws to fasten them. This is a german brand thread glue, but it is similar to the Loctite thread locker blue, which is a mid grade lubricant that fastens the screw in the thread, but will
be reversible with some force. The one I used, cures in 5 minutes, so I had plenty of time to get the right position for the red button and the valve :)
... and some comparison shots with the OM Obi TPM on the left and an empty korbanth hilt on the right:
hope you enjoyed it :)
