Caine's Luke ROTJ V2 gets a C.F. V5...and a Dark makeover-UPDATED 10/16/10

Thanks all...but all I did was just paint it...The General (man, I still wanna call him LDM!!!) is the dude who gets the credit.

I think the next time I get my hands on a CF, it will go towards a JQ Sabers Luke...only it will be made into a V2.

You up for that LDM?...I mean General...I mean...AHHHHH!!!

Yeah, I happened to find that link when I was looking for more V3 pics. I think it needs to be done more. The V3 is actually the saber that Mark Hamill used on Jabba's sail barge fight. If you look closely at some still pics, you'll see the copper neck. The V2 was used in some shots, but the V3 got it's use here, too. I am not sure where else it got used, but it's hard to tell in all those fight scenes.

UPDATE...

Well, after reading that article that I posted, the V3 is actually metal...it looks totally resin though because of how jacked up the neck is. It was also used by Sir Alex Guiness in ANH apparently (like the V2 was).

The LDM Custom Sabers/Caine V2 has taken a Dark turn on it’s recent incarnation and upgrade…


You all know this V2, made famous by LDM for me, with it’s first incarnation a little over a year ago

So, the C.F 4.31 was swapped out for something a little more toastier…the C.F V5

And that’s what made me do this:



Specs
MHS Hilt done completely done by LDM/GENERAL GRIEVOUS, with Pastor Jedi lever and cone knob. I also decided to go back to the old school circuit card.

Current install done by me.
*Crystal Focus V5.
*LEDengine 5W Far Red LED. (nice crimson color. Yeah, I know in the pics the blade looks pink, but it's not even kinda close to that color.   ;) )
*2 accent LED’s under circuit card. (Red and Green blinkies)
*Flashing red LED in pommel. (of course). This is attached to a quick disconnect in case I want to go back to green.
*Circuit card activation and aux button access. (naturally)
*7.4 Li-Ion Battery Pack. (salvaged from the V2’s last build)
*Reverse Sound a la  it’s original creator (would you think anything different? Lol)
*Recharge/kill in pommel.
*Fonts by Novastar and Madcow. Boot sounds, menu and menu background courtesy of Avvatar and his excellent “Throne Room” boot pack.

got to say i love the sith take on the luke design , nice vid and the first thing i noticed was the clarity of the sound fonts through the CF-V5, fabulous , crystal clear is bang on and yep after some recent online comments about the lack of high volume compared to the CF-V4.31, well i know youve used a reverse sound set-up but it seems better than good to me..... great blinky arrangement on the activation box..... thanks for posting cain.
