Thank you Link. These pieces all happen to be NFS. They were all the firsts of their kind and are my personal reminders, that a little imagination goes a long way.
I have made 3 other lizard style pieces that have sold for $150 (they aren't very big; about 2.5" across), but i haven't made one in years. just thought I'd show them to all my new friends. Thank you so much for your interest and kind words though. If i do get inspired to make another run of it, I will let you know. sound good?
As far as what it costs to make, its more about my time. you only get one shot at it, and if you mess it up, you have to start from scratch again. No fixes. 100% or nothing.  That's really just how the medium works.
Thank you again. It means a lot that you enjoy the glass.

Thank you! Thank you very much. I am very glad that you enjoy it. I am trying to make some saber related art right now to share with the community; I'm afraid my "art" chops are a little rusty, as i have been doing mostly scientific styles on lathes. At some point though, I think i'd like to try making a glass saber hilt just to see if it could be done well.

That would be awesome to have a glass hilt but I reckon its strict for display? If done with all the accent, I think it will look fantastic like the Daft Punk helmets!

Ha! When I make the hilt I will post. Unfortunately it will just be a shell, as I certainly do not possess the electronic skills of the people on this forum. One of these days I might, but for now I'm just a struggling artist with an idea. Thanks for the support on the idea though. I am looking into materials right now.

awesome stuff!  I've done a bit of glassblowing in the past (starting downstairs in the basement when I was an undergrad at the 'Tute).
Usually I tried making simple paperweights. My glass cups and bowls (attempts) always came out a little lopsided  :-[ ::) ;P
