Darth Tyranus ROTS Scaled Replica Mini -A Review

Revenge Of The Sith Darth Tyranus Lightsaber Scaled Replica

I got the Darth Tyranus Mini for free when I purchased my Mace Windu ROTS FX thanks to the MR website promotion they had in Jan/Feb

I gotta say this thing is pretty impressive
-The detail is great-the metallic finish, the black 'grip' of the hilt etc
-It has a nice weight to it
-The stand is sturdy and the saber fits nicely on it, with no rattling
-Packaging is ideal for those who wish to keep it MIB, if that is your preference- you can view the actual mini on the right side (one you open the case) and it has a little biography of Dooku on the left side with a face pic
-Comes with its own 'mini' certificate of authenticity

Overall, a VERY nice display piece - Im not sure if I would purchase these at full retail price- they ARE a little pricey, but if you can find this one for a good price, its work getting, and is one of the more unique sabers in the .45 series

Rating: 8/10
Below is a pic of my Mini with my Unleashed Tyranus figure

Nice 'mini' review there DTorment. I have this phobia that the grips may peel off, so I try not to handle it too much :)

thats right its part of tthe 'Unleashed line'

u mentioned 'peeling' handle grips....is this correct? they will peel off? the black handle areas appear to be metal like the rest of the saber....

Oh no. The grips are not metal and are not part of the saber. The grips are made of RUBBER (which is quite nice actually) and are sort of glued on the saber. The edge on the grips of my mini dooku don't look so good.

same with my anakin ROTS mini, just last night I felt that one of the grips were really loose so I peeled it off and glued it back on.
