They are just like any other 3W LED except they're not "luxeons" really since Prolight makes them.  You can wire them like this to get any color of the spectrum:

Only downside is the space of the pots and if you turn two colors on fully it acts like two LEDs and eats batteries faster.

Does anyone offer MR conversions for these?

EDIT: If someone does, how do you change the colors?

Good question. It would be nice if someone would.

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)

They don't because it doesn't fit in the hilt.  The MR electronics work fine with it but there's no room in it.

Here's a guys (GeluKhanGharr who is great at building kick but hilts) saber using the MR's guts to power the RGB:

and a 6MB vid to show what it can do.

Any one can learn to solder... granted you wouldn't be an innovator in making new stuff and just following set design, but it's not that hard.

A lot... He's not selling that one either... I already asked. :P

In the forums of TCSS there are the tutorials for converting the sabers, but they don't focus on soldering.  It's kind of a side note.

That's one of "my" next projects.  Creating a absolutly basic tutorial for saber building.  In it will be mostly the basics of how to use a dremel, how to solder in excrutiating detail, and pics of doing basic stuff like cutting a tube, etc...

That would be great for those wanting to build their own saber, can't wait to read it.  :)
