For me ROTJ Luke is my favorite because he finally found some level of confidence yet is still conflicted and vulnerable. Also he doesn't whine as much. :)
-
I like Luke from ANH where he is not yet burdened by the knowledge he is the son of a supervillain or that he kissed his sister but rather is still filled with that new hope and innocence as he embarks on his hero's journey.

Definitely gotta go with Greebles as I like the fully empowered Luke in ROTJ.
And we even get to see him grow a bit and at the end face his greatest fears. And in the process become the last living Force user (other than Leia?) I think.
Empire Strikes back showed us the most interesting Luke. Really love what happens in that one :D

ROTJ Luke FTW.

ESB for Me.

ESB for me...

It's hard to say "which" Luke is the best (IMHO) since he's such a transformative character throughout the OT. When we first meet him in ANH, he's just a whiny farmboy looking to get out of his chores and have an adventure. But by the end of ROTJ, he's willing to give up his life for just the chance to redeem Vader (the consistent villain of the OT btw). In my mind, that's what makes him the movie series' hero - not that he was the one who happened to blow up the Death Star, but that he matured into someone who made the conscious choice of self-sacrifice, and strode into it boldly.
Okay so maybe my answer is lending towards "ROTJ" :P
I guess what i'm trying to say is that I feel like the whole OT is about Luke "becoming" the hero, and it's difficult (in my opinion) to appreciate only one "stage" (or movie) without seeing it through the lens of his entire (on-screen) life.

Vote done ANH of course for me ;)
-
For sure ESB. My all time favorite film
-
Definitely ESB for me. Like seeing the transformation wherein he goes from the idealistic, impetuous, and willful "padawan" if you will from ANH to the more balanced and reserved ROTJ all in one film. The darker nature of the film makes it my favorite one from the OT, especially towards the end when he realizes that his life is radically different than he ever envisioned it would be.
-
Absolutely ROTJ. Seeing him become and accept what a Jedi Knight must do to; even if that means facing enemies stronger than himself.
-
^ Ya i totally agree
-
ESB, because its my favorite Luke hilt and it was the best out of the 3 movies :P
-
ESB is my go to film choice, but favourite Luke is ROTJ... For reasons others have laid out above. :)
-
Oh wow this choice again? Lol This is what I went through to start this journey.
Like said above the growth of the boy to man to Jedi.
I love all 3. I think the ESB looks the best with it's upgrades. ROTJ shows his graduation from apprentice to knight .
I'll have to go with ANH. It's the one that started this ALL.

ROTJ Luke is by far my favorite Luke. This is mostly due to watching his character develop over the course of the 3 original movies. He by far becomes the Jedi Knight he set out to be and along with that matures greatly, using full force (pun intended) of his abilities. :jedigreen:

ANH of course.
-
Vader's ROTJ saber in the scene where his hand gets cut off. It is a modified Luke stunt saber, so it still counts.
-
ROTJ luke by far. Mature, developed character. Awesome.
-
ROTJ Luke. It's kind of like he earned his black belt.

ANH for me for sure.
by the way its so sad to see that Star Wars fans are not around anymore.
hope you are having a good time
