Review"
I first found about Plecter Labs from fellow Jediarchives saber master Xwingband
I was just blown away when I see all the things the Plecter Labs sabers can do..
Things like saber flicker, blaster reflect, saber lock sound, hilt rumble, and the ability to customize the saber sounds in on a sd card!!! just to name some..

I was lucky enough to get what I think is the very first one to reach Amarica..

after having it 2 days here are my thoughts

The saber is just beautiful, and the machining of the hilt feels so solid and strong.
It is lighter then any MR saber I have (great for spins it is)

When you turn it on the first thing you notice is how piercing loud the ignite and idle hum are.
The you are pleasantly greeted with rumbling of the hilt (kind of like a game controller but more suttle) that matched the idle hum

Then you swing it and see the swing motion detectors are frigen DEAD ON,I mean super on point.
It has aslight pulse flicker to blade like a real lightsaber does and that looks SO LOVELY

Then need the top of the hilt there is a button that when pressed triggers the saber lock and blaster deflect effects..
The Luxeon glow is very bright,as much so or more then a stock MR (mine is a LUX3)
But unlike other Luxeon sabers it actually has a ignite and retract sequence effect

This is basically every thing I could have wished for in a FX at Plecter Labs for pushing Luxion sabers WAY past what I even ever dreamed of..

But I can tell you my initial impressions are OMG and WOW

It came with the ROTJ movie sounds I always loves..
The motion detection is light years ahead of the stock Fx ..
The rumble feels incretible..
xxx I'm loving this..
Looks great with my ultra fiber optic blade too..
Plecter Labs rules!!!

You know that feeling you got when you first turned on a MR Fx,the feeling of WOW this really feels like a real lightsaber..

Well this is that times 10.
The rumple of the hilt and vibration of the sounds are like a childhoods dream come true.

Well now for the bad news,I am assed out when the battery's go dead..
I got to buy a 2500 mAh charger like this one http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3005 and soder in this adapter thing Erv sent me along with some other mod to the charger..
Only thing is I don`t have a sodering gun or know anyone with one, worst yet I have never sodered anything in my life..

Here are the instructions ERV sent me
I sent you a link for the charger to buy at battery space. Batteries are 2500 mAh ones, so they can be charged up to 2.5 A with a  fast & smart charger. The charger I've pointed charges at 2A, that's perfect : a saber is never totally discharged, so you get it fully loaded in less than one hour with that charging current.
- charging plug : when getting the charger you'll just need to solder the charging plug. Do not use some unsecure setup with the crocodile plugs connected to some wire, do soldering. Cut the original plug of the charger. Solder two wires on the charging plug I've provided, (one red, one black) of some lenght, not too long, half a foot max. Red on the central pin (the shortest soldering pin inside the plug), black on the sleeve. Solder the two other sides of the wires on the charger on matching colors. Use some heatshrinking tube to isolate the soldering, not electric tape. For the wires to the plug, use some medium gauge one, I mean not some ridiculous wires. Using the same gauge than the charger's ones might not fit in the cap plug so choose a little bit smaller diameter

I'm surprised that you did'nt already buy the charger ahead of time. As for soldering, if your not comfortable with that, maybe you can take it to an electronics repair shop and have them do it for you. ;)

Nice saber man, makes me wish that Ultra's board was already out so I can get my Graflex done.

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)

Just wondering, but...

Why wouldn't the whole "soldering" thing have been done for you BEFORE the saber arrived at your house?
