CFX 10 Diagram - Please Review
« on: July 13, 2022, 03:08:13 PM »
Hello, I am re-posting this because I posted in the wrong forum initially.

I am going to be building a KR ROTJ HERO ECO. It is a basic build nothing to fancy. Would you look over this diagram and tell me if it looks OK? I am struggling with the ACCENT LEDS for the green and red lights on the saber and how to wire them correctly.  I would love more info on the accent pads than the manual provides if you have it.

Thank you!

The wiring diagram looks fine. For the accent pads, the wires should come off the two matching circle pads (you see, to be using pads 6 and 8 in your diagram.

I find your arguments vague and unconvincing.

In the diagram I was going to bridge them with the resistor. Is that not correct?

You can bridge the two small SQUARE pads with an SMD resistors, but the wire that goes to the PCB is connected to the round pad at the edge of the board. If you haven’t worked a lot with the accent pads, you’ll want to do it that way. Those pads are a lot smaller then you think.

Yes. To answer your PM question, you would need to bridge those pads somehow. If you’re good enough to, you can solder bridge them, another option is a 0 ohm resistor, but if you are good enough to handle SMD soldering, just get the proper values you need and use those to bridge the pads, then you won’t need the external resistors.
