The Jedi Defender MK I from BeggarsOutpost....

Alright....This is my entry for MHS saber using the 7" fluted center....Right now it's temporarily running a US 1.1 and the Soul P4 Blue on 2 TrustFires ...using an UltraEdge for the blade...I must say the P4 blue is sweet.... :D and I'm a hard man to please when it comes to blue LEDs...
The whole piece is media blasted except for the tip of the blade holder and the double male connector...That is a style 4 pommel if your wondering....Now the idea is to send it to Lord Dottore Matto for a special LDM powder coat..... I have to say though that I'm really liking the media blast finish... It gives the saber a very distinct prequel trilogy feel....So the question is should I powder coat or not?... what do you guys think?.....

I normally really love powder coating, but the media blasting looks awesome on this saber!  I would leave it as is :)

The media blast look sets it off, if i were to do any coating on it....maybe the insides of the fluting to make the grip area stand out a bit

VERY awesome saber you have there ;).... One thing I would mention is if you where to keep it with the "media" look, I would definately find a way to matte clear it. Media blasted items find dirt really easily so touching it several times will destroy the coatings (or lack of) "evenness" of the saber. IMO of course. Also, very nice touch with the unblasted rings there..... simply awesome!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thank you gentleman...yes diffidently some kind of clear sealer if I go with the media look...I think I'm going to go ahead and add the covertech knob and the accent LEDs and see how it feels....And I am loving this P4 blue with the UltraEdge....man it is just sweeet!!....  :D ;D

Keep the media blasting (though, I'm kinda biased because I have a media-blasted saber :D)

The only way I would go with powder coating would be as accents maybe a few black bands here and there. The media blasting looks really great on that saber.

keep the media blast. Id maybe turn it down in the flute are so itd make the flutes stand out

it looks better blasted than mine does...
