"what's in there?"
"only what you take with you"
"Failure at the cave version"
It is the first ESB version FX-SABERS has done and We'd like a member
to buy it to give it a proper review.
It's the same specs as the ANH version, now in the ESB style.
This "first one" comes with a free saber hook and an extra ESB
type set screw eye button.
The Cost of this is a one time only $345.00 including shipping in the U.S.
for FX-SABER members.

Its beautiful!!! I would love to purchase it but I have been looking at LE's and SE's on ebay lol.

Awesome!

Someone will have to resize them but I think Luke or Yoda can do it
I really recommend a graflex, amazing pieces of work
-
Thank you for posting that for me Count 8)
Anyone who's interested just PM YODA with inquiries or questions ;)

I braved a Thunderstorm to do so,

Your quite welcome :)
I truly appreciate your efforts Count ;D 8)
Hopefully this First Saber of the ESB series will find a good home amongst one of the lucky enthusiasts here :)
I'm sure you're using your Graflex and Mace right now ;)
-
I wish it were getting a home with me... but alas I must wait a little while longer....
Stupid home buying is messing up my saber plans! (I'm closing on a condo this week!)
Soon though. Very soon it shall be mine! =)
-

-
I need a job that pay me more lol
-
it is a little pricey....but im sure its worth it.
-
Curse you. I never wanted a lux until now. And it's the fact that isn't made with a Graflex that makes it even worse.
Yoda. check your PMs.
-
That looks cool. I'm not very fond of Luxeons. I dont know why.
-
I wouldn't mind a bottom piece and circut board "kit" for my ANH... ;D
Oh, and is this one a darker blue than my ANH? ???
-Joclad
-
is it really that much darker JD?
-
I don't know, that's why I was asking...I remember Yoda saying that the Luke ESB Luxeon was gonna have a darker blue color LED. I was asking to see if this one indeed has a darker LED than the ANH Luxeon I bought from him.

Hello there
In order to get everything to work right it needs to build it all at the same time so that the ESB and ANH bottoms fit
and work properly.
It has to do with slight variations in the sound module battery pin length.
Because all the MR battery pins weren't the same length it's necessary to compensate for this during construction.
Because LED manufacturing colors vary and are even different from each other in the Bin lots themselves...
Here is how I like to use the LEDs for ANH and ESB sabers.
Bin 1 - ESB ( Close to Royal Blue but not as Dark )
Bin 2 - ANH or ESB ( Medium Blue and Looks appropriate for Both )
Bin 3 - ANH ( Lighter Blue some have slight Cyan tone )
Led use and Construction is subject to correct color avalibiltiy so that's why sometimes it takes a while
before we get more Sabers made.
They all turn out Awesome when completed and represent the Original trilogy Colors beautifully ;D

Must resist ordering ESB luxeon...

Must resist ordering ESB luxeon...
I said the same thing when the ANH debuted...and you can see from the saber on the far right how well that worked. :P
-Joclad
-
It's so worth it
Yoda's work is easily some of the best custom saber work I have ever seen
I know IF my house were to be burning down and I could only grab ONE FX Saber, it would be my Luke ANH
-
^ You and me both, Count... :P
-Joclad
-
what makes it so much better fellas?
-
Speaking of Luke ESB Luxeon I just sold my Luke ESB FX Luxeon not too long ago. I already miss it. :(
-
I'm not a big fan of the Luke ESB (I know, blasphemy) but that sure does look nice. Great job! ;)
-
what makes it so much better fellas?
Let's see....
1. Removable blade.
2. A truly movie accurate hilt that you can :
a. Duel with with the blade installed.
b. Put on display and have it looking just as nice as a LE or SE but having the added benifit of being able to duel with it and have fun. Try doing that with your LE/SE. 8)
I would rather sell every FX I have before even thinking about selling my Luke ANH.
-Joclad
-
wow.....strong testimony!!! thank you Master Danva....**bows**

Yes thank you Master Danva and You Count Dooku ;D
I'm glad you guys are enjoying your sabers. FYI I used my Graflex to do the training at the Com-Con
after the main show.
Needless to say it gathered a few looks from those who knew what to look for 8)
-
I brought my Luke ANH Graflex to a circus that was here in Owen Sound and let's say I got some attention and even caught the attention of the ring master :)
This graflex have a bright future especially in the areas of LIVE entertainment :)

My ANH on the left, and my Anakin ROTS FX on the right. Note that even near the top, the ANH blade is nearly as bright as the MR. 8)
-Joclad
-
hey whats w/ the shorter blade??? :-[
-
Its just shorter thats all lol. You can always replace the blade with a longer one on luxeons.
-
I requested it. It's 29 inches from emitter to tip, like a Katana in my size would be. ;) And it's very light and fast.
-Joclad
-
oh ok.....i didn't know you could request a blade size. nice stuff brutha!
-
Really looking forward to the Graflex... a couple more days. Ill write up a review, I have an MR Vader and a Anakin ROTS I got from Ionsabers that Ill review as well.
-
I think Yoda's ESB graflex just might be my next FX, beating out even the new Obi FX, very impressive. 8)
-
I'm going to have to get some stuff up for sale so I can get one. Its going to be a tough decision what I'm going to let go...
-

Depending on the price
I'd buy that Obi EL off you :)
-
Sorry there Count, I already snatched up that Obi-Wan.
-
Guess I need to change my sig ;D
-
Wow! That saber is fricking AMAZING! Can you make another for a cheaper price?
-
Unfortunately, I seriously doubt it. factoring in that it takes a brand new Anakin ROTS for the guts and sound module, and the fact that the Graflex hilts by themselves are over $150 finished (Dressed up to look like Luke's saber) there is little to no chance of him being able to drop the price much if any.
And that isn't even factoring in the Labor involved in converting them.
-Joclad
-
Exactly, It's cheap already... if you think $120 for a new fx, $125 for the Graflex (maybe less if he buys bulk), $40 for holder, $7 blade film, $10 LED, ESB specific stuff, etc...
He's not making huge profits off of this for sure. In fact it's probably darn near at cost as it is.
-
Really? Than if I can afford it, can you make another?
Is the hilt movie accurate? Is the blade removeable and duelable?
-
Is the hilt movie accurate? Is the blade removeable and duelable?
Yes, yes, and yes.
-
Who made it? I may be able to afford it.
-
It is made by our own Master Yoda. 8)

Is the hilt movie accurate?
The are a few MINOR things that aren't "movie accurate". These can easily be fixed yourself. And, keep in mind there are several versions of the ESB saber, so these differences are not on each version. Check the Parts of Star Wars (http://www.partsofsw.com/) website for the different versions.
1) the "beer tab" attached to the top red button was removed on some of the ESB hilts.
2) The textured tape is seen on the post-production "Dagobah version" saber, but not the film version. *THIS HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN* All *I* can make out in the Dagobah scenes is a smooth strip.
3) The general opinion is that the grips were held on with pop rivets or phillip head screws, depending on the version. Most all the conversions you see now use the hex head screws, which I prefer.
4) the Kobold D-Ring is mounted backwards or "flipped" on some of the versions. The way this one is mounted is the way it's seen in the Wampa's Cave, which is the way most fans will relate to since it is the only clear picture of it in the movie.
I think this is the BEST dueling version of the Luke ESB there is. A good combination of all the different versions AND MR sound AND made from a replica Graflex. You can't get more accurate than that. If your a stickler for "Screen Accuracy", less than 15 minutes of your own time will make it so, depending on the "version" you want.
-
Oh I don't care at all about those tiny little things. This saber is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
Jeez, it's really expensive though.

Thank you for the kind words, and I'm Glad you see it for what it is 8)
With so many versions and variations I felt the one used at the cave with the tab in tact not only looks
the most complete but if any one wanted to fity an ANH bottom it would be appropriate ;)
Combining that with the Silver head hex screws it just gives it that clean new "as first Re-built by" Look 8)
Basically it's all the shiny and New ESB parts from all versions rolled into one similar to the MR LE versions
but able to be turned back and forth between ANH and ESB if wanted.
(However sourcing just 3 cell Bottoms is a pain ::) )
Personally for me... I have both
A New ESB for dueling (I brought it to Com-Con) and a late 30's chromed body Graflex that had just the right
amount of damage to look more like the weathered version on screen.
However I still left the Tab intact because when it's removed... it leaves a rivit ring in the metal.
The Movie ESB is ugly as sin if you've seen the Lucas picts of it (missing buttons and all) and the only way
to achieve it is to use and old beat up original Graflex...
I may do one like that in the future but it will cost more because of sourcing an older weathered looking Hilt.
I'd certainly do a "special Order if some one has an Old Graflex they'd want converted.
I have a couple sabers I'm going to be doing for other members right now so those are going to be in the works
for a week or two because one it a complete ANH/ESB Kit and the other is a special AOTC order.
But in any case Keep a watch on eBay because in the weeks after I should have another ANH and
possibly a dual ANH & ESB Kit for sale on eBay.
I'll keep everyone informed once they are listed 8)

Thank you :)
Ganjahman just recieved the ESB yesterday and He was very happy with it ;D
I look forward to His review of it 8)

someone needs to post up a vid of your custom lightsabers. i'm sure alot of our members would enjoy such a display!
-
I'll see what I can do about this... unless one of the Graflex owners beats me to it :D
Ganjahman just got His so He was going to be doing a review, maybe He would add a quick video 8)
I'm sure Boba Fett, Count Dooku, Joclad Danva, Julian, Seth Ski-woo, Laichai ? and others I haven't mentioned...
any one want to do a Video for this? ;)
-
Video perhaps when I am back from training
-
AWESOME....can't wait!!

There is a quick video of it in Ganjahmans review under saber reviews 8)

Thats it, I HAVE to get one of these by the 30th anniversry of "A New Hope". Whether I get the ANH or ESB version is THE question. Well, there are others. Yoda, how much do you charge for the ANH to ESB (or vise versa) kits? And any chance of a payment plan, so once the saber is paid in full, it could be made/shipped?
-
Got your PMs ;) you'll be on the list 8)
-
Just got mine (Kit for both ANH and ESB) and it is fantastic. The Corbin film really looks nice on the blade. As soon as I can I'll post a review of it.
-
Yes post the review once You've had your fill of changing the bottoms back and forth :D
I really hope your enjoying it ;D
The nice thing about a Graflex is you can position the clamp as you see fit for movie accuracy
or dueling preference ;)
Oh and you can make the visual dictionary saber out of it by putting the ESB bottom with the
ANH clamp and ANH Glass Eye... :D

Master Yoda....have you givin any thought of putting your custom lightsaber into production?
-
Well... I'm producing them 8) at a slow rate :D
I am working on ways to speed up the proccess to produce more but it all takes time and money ;)
-
you could make some big coin if you had some type of production line
-
I second that. If you have relations with small businesses, and you can make a fancy box and everything, you REALLY and truly i mean it, bring in tons of money.
I'm saying people in your area. If you could find a way to make them a bit cheaper, and sell them at like 300+ Tax, you'd really rake it in. Please consider.
-
and i get the 1st one off the line.....FREE......hey i thought of it!
-
My Review is up on the ANH and ESB combination kit in the Reviews section. I will probably eventually put up more pictures (or take better ones) to add to it.
