Introducing – The Force FX Combat Trials at Celebration 4
« on: March 19, 2007, 05:39:40 PM »
Think you have what it takes to achieve the rank of Jedi Knight?

Show us your stuff with a lightsaber, in three separate Jedi Trials at Celebration 4.

In the Jedi Order, the Jedi Trials are challenges which are undertaken by Padawans to earn the title of Jedi Knight. These tests are very often retaken by those Jedi Knights who aspire to earn the rank of Jedi Master, and a seat on the Jedi Council.

The Trials were formal tests that were administered by the Jedi Council on any Padawan that they deemed to be worthy. The Padawan was tested by the Jedi Masters themselves in a controlled setting.

Now, for the very first time, the Council at Master Replicas has opened up the trials for all aspiring Jedi Knights (or, should they choose the path to the Dark Side – Sith Lords) to come and show their skills with a lightsaber at Celebration 4 in May!

There will be three separate competitions, and Padawans may enter any one, two or all three. Padawans/Apprentices please see the rules and regulations for each, to determine your eligibility.

FORCE FX BATTLE EXTREME
Designed to demonstrate both teamwork and lightsaber dueling skills, the Battle Extreme will include one-on-one combats, one-on-two or more, and team-against-team mock battles.

FORCE FX MASTER EXHIBITION
Designed for the Master Swordsman, the idea is to demonstrate discipline, grace, and a flare for the dynamic and dramatic!

FORCE FX FREESTYLE CHALLENGE
This is the “Rap Battle” of lightsabers – the entrant will show their expertise in a solo demonstration, pitted against another soloist.

Please visit http://masterreplicas.com/combat_trials for official rules and regulations, and to enroll in the Force FX Combat Trials today!

Awesome, can't wait to see the competiion.

I had an awesome and a bit stressful time putting the commercial together for you Amy, but it was SOOOOOO worth it to be a part of this.

For those that want to know. Amy called me up on last Wednesday and told me that she needed some video of some saber tricks and the first person she thought of was me. So I set up, taped, edited and finalized that video within 9 hours and then sent it to Amy.
I have to send out a Special Thanks to my girl Trang who came over to see me and unwittingly became my dueling assistant for the Force FX Battle Extreme section of the video. Thanks girl!

Amy that is going to be so cool to see. I'm sure the turn out will be mind boggeling. I only wish I could be there.  :'(

Thanks for getting that posted here and to you Anakin forgetting that together so quickly.

Anakin and I will be there doing our Luke v/s Vader Duel for the Battle Extreme. 8)
and I think Anakin should enter the Master Exhibition and show us all those spins 1-20 in under 4 minutes ;D

This will be a Day to remember 8)

Oh and AMY

Since Anakin and I will be doing the Luke v/s Vader from Empire Strikes back.

Shall I just send you a copy of Empire Strikes back for my Video submission :D :D :D :D

Well this just makes waiting for C4 even harder :-X
I'm sure it will be an absoloute blast for all involved  8)

This will be interesting to see if we can get a "theme" to run in the middle of the competition...
Such as having certain duels performed in order if we have submissions for them ;)

Since Danakin and Obidan will most likely be there doing their Anakin v/s Obiwan ROTS

Anakin and I will be doing Luke v/s Vader... ESB

We need the other duels from EP4 and EP6 to complete the original trilogy Duels.
Maybe I can get Jedi Luke from the 501st to come in and Chop off Vader Hand after Vader chops off mine :D

Now just for  filling the EP1 and 2 spots :D

Oh and AMY WHO WILL BE THE JUDGES?

Make sure Travis or Keith get some one with a GOOD broadcast quality camera
to capture this whole competition and be able to use it in commercials and on the website etc...

It will have numerous uses as you can see :)

Thanks Yoda.  We have it all under control.  There will probably be different judges each day and we are not ready to announce them as of yet.

Very Cool I'm sure it will be a 1st class production 8)

I'll be going about rallying the Jedi and Sith who I think could add some routines to the competition :)

The Stage is 15x20 feet so that should be just enough room for some one with a double.
I see the Routines must be 2 Minutes.

Since Anakin and I are Doing the Luke v/s Vader shall I condense it for the show and make an extended version
for the Party on Sunday?

were you going to eMail me my "extra" information when it's ready ;)

Most impressive :)

Hopefully I'll be able to come down for this....

Man this is so awesome, I was going to start a video but then I read the part where you have to physically be in LA to enter the competition not just having a video. I can't do since that's the competition falls under the same two days as my black belt promotion ceremony, All well I just have to wait until the next anniversary comes around  :( Still I do want to see the vids anyways one is already posted at youtube besides the commerical. Great Job MR and I hope everything turns out great.  :)
