NEW Hasbro Star Wars Force Action Lightsabers
« on: July 10, 2006, 02:25:57 PM »
Here's a direct link to Rebelscum.com's article on the re-designed Hasbro electronic lightsabers. The blade now fits all the way into the hilt and extends to full length with the push of a spring-loaded button. The sabers still have electronic lights and sounds.

These are all retooled previous releases with new mechanics. The Luke ANH/ESB is not accurate in that it has the Anakin ROTS centerband. It does have the Luke ESB knob in place of the Anakin cooper button that was used for color changing in the previous version of this release. The Obi-Wan saber shows a picture of him from ROTS, complete with his ROTS saber, but the actual product appears to be the TPM/AOTC model. And the Vader, well, it's the same old unasthetically pleasing ROTJ representation. The blades do look a bit awkward. I might have to get one of these just to try one out... there's never been a spring-loaded lightsaber to my knowledge, so this should be most interesting.

Most likely. These will be replacing the electronic lightsabers, so they'll probably be sold everywhere those were sold.

They look way to thin. Like the suffer from Anorexia or something.
