So today I received my Darth Talon statue from Gentle Giant.
It was brand new and sealed.
I was really excited to open it and put it together. I removed every plastic bits that protects it, to see it in all its beauty. Then I tried to put the statue on its base, when..... No. I couldn't. The holes do not align. I tried, only to fail and scratch the beautiful base. I tried again, but nope, the holes are really misplaced.
I am so frustrated! I'll contact the seller, but It already cost me $50 of shipping and I don't want to get another defective one (if ever the seller happens to have more statues to sell!). I wonder if gentle giant can do something.
EDIT* I managed to force each hole since they are made of plastic. Now the statue is on its base, but it's a bit loose. I also noticed that a part is broken and I will have to glue it back.
Okay so I took pictures
this is when I finally managed to insert the statue in the base
not that bad
this side isn't as good though
the broken part (fixed it now)
More "professionnal" pictures
the scratch I did, wich is "perfectly" located to not see it :D
So the statue is looking really good, I like it. I must say the metal parts really look like metal and that's great. The painting is pretty good and the statue looks solid. But the overall quality isn't great, since the holes are not even aligned and a part in the back fell. I'm guessing defective units are really rare and I wasn't lucky.
