Jedi Scoundrel
« on: September 09, 2017, 04:57:58 PM »
I've been working on a costume for my first con, NY Comic Con.

I decided to go with a "Jedi Scoundrel" character heavily based on the look of Han and Luke from the Yavin Ceremony in ANH. Most pieces are bought but I decided to make the holster belt and blaster myself.  The blaster is mostly found parts and a cheap cap gun. I did do a little machining for some of the gun pieces

Hey DC!
How soon do you need them? My wife has had a sewing business for 30 years, she kinda knows a thing or two about sewing. By that I mean everything lol.
Loving this project man, well done indeed!

The lady and I both sew, but I'm not sure the best way to put the stripe on finished pants. If DM's wife has any hot tips, you can bring it over and I'll do it.

I'm going this Thursday so probably not enough time to get it to you, get it done, and get it back.

JB, I am going to try out some twill tape and fabric glue to see how it works. The other way I've seen it done is sewing them onto a piece that matches the pants then sewing the whole strip down the leg. But again, not sure if there is enough time to hunt down matching fabric to the pants,

No biggie. If I can't get it to work I can do without them.

I made a couple of custom sound fonts so I could double my thermal detonator as a communicator. Hope you enjoy! Thanks jbkuma for the return inspiration.
