Telescoping Blade Plug, anyone?

Ladies and gents, Sith and Jedi, boys and girls, presenting what might be the daftest idea in FX lightsaber development since Smell-o-SoundFont!

Collapsible, 3D Printed Blade Plugs!

So, I saw some 3D printed, collapsible swords and lightsbers that someone on Thingiverse called 3DPRINTINGWORLD has been making lately (About 3DPRINTINGWORLD - Thingiverse), and I thought to myself "hey, with a bit of tweaking that would make a fancy/daft blade plug"

So, I gave it a try.

Yup, it's pretty much a blade plug sized telescoping saber blade, like you get on the Hasbro toys, only 3D printed and removable, for 1" blades. And tiny, because there's only so much you can get a 2" tall thing to telescope out. and honestly, 20cm/8" from 2"/5cm is not bad.

I wouldn't recommend duelling with it.

One of my daftest ideas by far.  :azn:

Anyway, here's a link to my Thingiverse if anyone wants to give it a try: Collapsible Lightsaber Blade Plug by SirRawThunderMan - Thingiverse

Now when people ask if you made a "real" lightsaber you can say "excuse me, while I whip this out"
