Title: Wiring up 3mm bright white led in series on MR soundboard

I think I'm starting to understand ohms law. I have an MR soundboard and am converting it to a rebel Star green luxeon green LED. I want to wire up an accent led to the control box but I'm trying to think of how I can do it. I've seen others on YouTube make it work however they don't explain how it's wired up. Is t possible to wire it in a series with the luxeon or can I just add a resistor and wire to board?
