I couldn't find my old build thread (search is broken? Plus all previous pocs are probably gone as they were hosted on tinypic) So here is an update.
Basically this saber was started years ago, back when petit crouton 2.0 was the new hotness.
For reasons, mostly advances and technology, it's now sporting a CFX with neopixel.

It's almost entirely TCSS parts, minus the custom brass shroud and vintage circuit board.
Finally happy with the exterior, last night I made my first steps at my first ever full install of a sound board.
First step was the switches.
Here is my switchbox with recharge port and scratch built graflex lever kill key.
Let's crack it open and put buttons in it!

Using these from TCSS

Drill some holes for the 8-32 screws

Takes some adjusting, I will shorten the screws so that circuit card slides back over and pushes down for satisfying clickey sounds.

And yes that's the TCSS 18650 chassis (grey RIT dye), with modified acrylic rings for CFX massaged into it.
(And cat5 makes for excellent switch wires!)
That's it for now, I hope to make more progress soon! Pretty sure all that's left is soldering, as that was the majority of the mechanical work!
I can't wait!!!!
