Master Replica Force FX Darth Vader Lightsaber sticky rubber
« on: February 10, 2021, 02:27:17 PM »
Just discovered that my Darth Vader Fx lightsaber's hilt rubber has become tacky.
Any recommendations on how to deal with this?..
I'm not sure if its plastic covered by rubber,, if so then couldn't i just rub off the rubber coating?

Wet wash rag... dawn dish soap scrub them. It'll work believe it or not.

I used to have a 2002 Anakin AOTC MR FX and those rubber grips got all sticky and nasty and that's all I did. (Took a while of scrubbing) but they were like new.

It's just old hand oils and such that gets absorbed by the grips.

Good day. I am new to this forum. Can i ask whoever is an expert regarding my problem. The chorme part on the bottom of the hilt of my darth vader force fx lightsaber faded and showed the yellow plastic underneath. Is there a way to remove this part so i could repaint it? Thank you so much for any intelligent input and insights.
