Sounds amazing, I can't wait!
- Individually numbered
Whoa, cool! Is the Jedi coin numbered as well? I went back and looked at that thread, but I don't see any mention of this.
Great catch.
The Jedi Medallions are not numbered - specifically so. It didn't seem to "fit" that the Jedi would want their own numbered Medallion like that. SITH, on the other hand...
Part of what I do when I design something is to conceptualize it first, the reasons for it, and the design that would embrace all elements of the idea behind it.
So for the Jedi Medallion, the Jedi symbol is raised (it stands above), the Medallion is silver, the edge engraving has the Jedi trials and a quote from Yoda, but no quote of "May The Force Be With You" (this would commercialize the Medallion too much for me, and the quote seems to me should be spoken). This is the Medallion a Jedi would be given upon his/her completion of the trials, would carry, or hold in place of honor, or pass to their padawan...
For the SITH Medallion, the SITH symbol is sunken (as if chisled in the ancient tombs of Korriban), the Medallion is... (won't give that away for now), the edge engraving has the quote that many SITH have used to tempt others to fall, has a proposed SITH trials, the SITH mantra, and are individually numbered (a SITH would definitely want that ;))
The Medallions are like mirrors of eachother, as perhaps the Jedi and SITH should be.
I'll do a video when the Medallions come in to further demonstrate what I have conceptualized.
The Medallions are not just a "neat" design, but much thought went into each one, and several proofs done before I finalized and approved the minting of each one.
Respectfully,
Sanjuro
PS: I'll send a SITH Medallion free to the FX-Sabers member who is first to answer this for me....The Jedi Symbol and the SITH Symbol are different in two ways, one way is that the Jedi Symbol is raised, and the SITH Symbol is sunken. What do you suspect is the other difference? And why? (the question will be much easier when I post a pic of the design prototype...). Only 2 guesses per member please - you may post your guesses here.
