[W.I.P] Mhs Hilt. Dark Jedi (painted)

This is going to be my first saber build. I am really excited for this project. 

I am inspired from Mara Jade's Hilt. I like the complex simplicity of the hilt. Yet I want this saber to be its own with out everyone thinking its MJ's saber. There is not really a story or name behind this saber. Just that it belongs to a Jedi who has lost their way in the force. This Jedi feel the Jedi Order has become something their are not and that the Sith Order may be able to offer this Jedi more.

Well here is the paint. I am probably going to strip and redo the paint job. The paint doesn't feel right. Anyhow here is the color scheme of the saber. What do you think?

Like everyone else I like number one as well. How do you actually plan on doing that choke piece before the emiter with MHS though, are you going to use an extension blank and have it custom made? I didn't see any MHS part that looked like that.

I think that choke is part of the new style BH 15 that just debuted a few weeks ago.  By the way ... i'll go with #1 as well  ;)

One definitely....the second one just looks like a plain tube with out any of the sexy curves.  Please post pics of this once you complete it :)

no.1, but with a longer choke, so you can actually use it.

well, like everyone else you have to go with 1 for the extra detail on the emitter and choke , however i would also ask if you intend to use this saber for dueling and would this be heavy dueling ???? .. i just can't help but feel that chokes can be a weakness structuraly in a saber design....something to consider ??. 8)

I am probably going to modify grip strips for that part. Will add a diff texture and I feel a nice balance.  Plus I may eventually have that entire blade holder custom made. 


I will definitely post pics wen done ( progress pics too) I will be ordering parts soon. But before I do I have to get the wife a bday present and take her out. She s lets me have fun with this expensive hobby. So I need to treat her well

Round one ordering is complete. I literally just ordered the MHS parts this first Round. Next Round will be electronics, grips, tools, and covertec clip.

I am going with number 1. Thanks for the input guys, really appreciated. Now if you have ideas on button placement that would be great!
