you know what would be really cool....if you can install the appropriate color that each sabe would produce, i.e. vader red, luke green....etc....

Thanks.  Having the stand colors the same as the blade colors was my original intention, hence the green Luke ROTJ FX stand.  Looks like all of my stands are going to be blue since the only full-sized 1:1 hilts I own are the Luke ANH and ESB models with an Obi-Wan ANH on the way.

I wanted to try this with the stands for the .45 minis, but don't have the heart to crack one of these open (no screws in the base, just glue I suppose).  Besides, I would have to make 17 of them so all my minis would match.  Even for me, that's going a little overboard.

Love your MR light up stand conversions. Is there any way you could explain the steps involved in doing this
and/or maybe show some diagrams or pics. I've added brushed gold name plates to mine and I'd love to light
them this way. I thought about lighting up the clear plexi pieces on the stands but I'm a little clueless about the
proper way to go about it. They look great!

Depends on the parts.

The battery cases run anywhere from $1 - $3.  The switch I used was $2.59.  The LEDs are priced anywhere from $.10 - $6.00 each, depending on the color, intensity, and where you purchase them.
