Not exactly the easiest install I've ever done....
Notes
Discarded included chassis and made a custom one out of Nylon. Top bar is secured inside with a very small hex screw and is not easy to remove or put back in.
LDM's install notes suggest an internal recharge port system in the emitter. That would require 4 parts to be removed to start the saber.
"um no. I don't think so."
One of my rules for installing is "no more than 2 parts may be removed from the hilt when turning on a saber, including the kill key." Known in-house as the
Negotiator Treaty of 2009.
The pommel has been modified with a 2.1mm recharge port.
Blade retention is with a ring attached to the blade. It is held in place with the LED unit and emitter by 2 screws. I am not sure I am happy with this and may modify it in the future for a blade retention screw.
summary
I am proud to own another Acerocket machined saber, and I hope he is not offended by the changes I chose to make in it. Thank you LDM/Grievous for coordinating the run, providing a tutorial and opening it up to the public.
If you get a chance to own one of these, go for it. It is a unique design and I hope there will be similar collaborations in the future.
