I don't know what to make of this new Maul...doesn't look right to me.
I want to see some video of the Maul for sure in action.

The Obi wan looks like a retool of Luke to me,just something about it.
So much for the thin neck and a removeable blade eh?

Awesome find and Gnosis. :)  I am absolutely shocked to finally see what these babies look like.  I am however, a little dissapointed in the obi-wan.  From the looks, it seems chaper looking than the anakin  :(.  I am also not to sure whether or not I like the maul.  I guess I will have to wait and see what they look like when lit up, and a video of them in action.  I am not sold yet.

If I wanted to buy the Obi-Wan ROTS at all, I'd be giddy like a schoolgirl.  Instead, I'm just impressed by the shiny neck and its uncanny resemblance to the Luke that was just re-released.  Now, the Maul.....  I agree that something about it seems off.  They finally answered the speaker question, but the off-grey thing doesn't work for me.  That, and the buttons aren't even lined up (as I believe they should be).  Nevertheless, unless MR does something crazy, I'll be all over the double Maul when it comes out. :)

I think everyone needs to realize the Liability that goes
with a "Removeable Blade" and the injuries and damage
that can be caused by them, unless you are experienced
and know how to secure it so the blade doesn't come flinging out!
It also needs to be east to lock into place and not weaken the blade
and fit within the various size emitters.

Trust me if you have a "removeable blade" and it is not properly secured
So it CAN NOT come free!
(And no just tightening a setscrew against the tube won't do it!)

I like the MR the way they are :D
If you want more detail and something that's more like a weapon?
Spend the money on mabey your one most favorite in a hand crafted EL
and get the rest as MR FXs!
or Both ;)

Can't wait till these come out!

The Obi looks like shyte.  Not just the fat neck, but something about the grenade portion looks wrong.  It's all out of proportion.

I think the Maul looks decent, the middle section that links it together is a little odd but something like that had to be done. As for the obi-wan, MR might as well just throw that piece of crap away, I think the hasbro version is better.

edit: Unless MR goes back to the drawing board on this one the money I was saving for the Obi-wan will go toward a new Mace. Why didn’t  MR just make a TPM version!!!!!!.

edit#2: Anyone remember Illbeats thread a while back? I am now fairly sure that the un-known saber was an Obi-wan.

The Obi Wan looks pretty much how I expected.  I'll probably get one, even though I, like most would prefer the TPM.  Just hope the plating doesn't rub off like my Mace and Anakin... :D
   As for the Maul, I can't wait.  FINALLY another red saber thats not a Vader... I think they'll fix the button alignment issue Skizzoid mentioned.  The pommel on the Luke ROTJ lines up every time... That's my guess about that any way...

Some great preview pics there!  Not only does it have the new FXs but there is the Qui-Gon LE and the new Mini blaster line. (Not to mention the Y-wing studio scale and more of those costumes)

I know this is just a prototype but I really hope the Maul 1/2 ends get a battle damaged paint job like the LE that would really help in my opinion.  I really like the shiny Obi-wan but I hope we don't have to wait till next fall for it.
