yeah 4 inches is not very much.  I guess I 'll experiment with the sanding.  I have an orbital corner cat that might work pretty good.  I guess I need to finally cave and get the dremel so I can have something to cut it up.

Maybe this has been brought up at the TCSS forums,

Why hasn't Tim made some Obi/Luke thin necks? He could machine out a one piece emmiter/neck. And If he gave it a female thread you could just thread it onto the male end of the Obi/Luke center grips...Just my thought....You all know they would sell like hot cakes..

What is the diameter of the those center sections? I mean you would want the neck to be thinner then the grip so if the grip is 1.5 inches OD, then it would look good with a 1inch neck.

If you break this down into 3 parts it would be like this......

Emitter- we know what this part is

Neck- this is comprised of the tube under the emmiter, the center ring(luke) windvane(obi) and then the tube under said ring/windvane

Base- This would be the diameter of the center section and is how the neck/emmiter would attach to the center grip. Although I guess it would be better if it had male threads so it would screw into the center grip so it would be a smooth transition between center grip and neck.

Should I draw a picture?
