Saw this picture making the rounds on Facebook.

I think that the exposed wire looks cool. It could explain why the blade looks so unstable.

No problem! Glad to help. :) sorry the pics came out a bit blurry, and that I didn't get more angles. Oh! And the plaque said it was 3D printed (as well as a lot of the props).

Save for the wire running along the outside its pretty cool.

I'm assuming that wire is meant to bypass some borked components to get it functioning, could possibly explain the not so stable looking blade effects we've seen.

I like the "bypassed borked components" theory IF it means that the 'crossguard' seen in the trailer is really less stupid 'emergency venting' of EXCESS plasma as the saber 'boots up' that then fades away into a conventional single blade...

...well that's what I'm hoping for...and the 'borked 'n bypassed' look might be consistent with such a possibility? hmmmm...

Apparently Kylo Ren is collecting Sith artifacts. This would fit with the 'ancient' hilt style, and he supposedly has possession of Vader's burnt helmet, too. :P

the damage and the bodge job wires explains why in the first trailer it looks unstable.

but look at the O.D. on that thing, looks even fatter than a graphlex!
I don't know, i gotta bad feeling about this!
