K3GR2 : Ki-Djowac

Tried to achieve a highly polished look and minimalistic design.

Started off with 3D designing all the internal chassis parts and gathered the components to complete the build. I still had some LED bargraphs from a while back offered by Calvary custom sabers at the time. I thought about a tinted window which revealed only what was underneath when the bargraph was on. Took some experimenting with layers of window car tuning foil and other foil stuff. The bargraph itself is configured to compliment each soundfont, representing the 'soul of the saber'.

The powdercoating was done after the parts got a 10-step hand polish which took me about a week to get done. After the polish job, they were off to Boba Fett for powdercoating with my color scheme. Big shoutout to Boba Fett here !! Thanks again   :boba:

3D printed parts were designed to hold every part in place and allowing Rice, recharge port and micro SD access.

Did some minor machining : drilling some holes, milling the window and shortening the blade holder on the lathe as well as the speaker.

Config was a bit challenging, but learned alot while doing so.

On to some build pics :

Such elegant work and design. I like how clean it looks (for lack of a better word).

Ki-Djowac, I will echo what I've said before - I really loved the sleekness of this build and the elegant minimalism of it all.  The bargraph mirrored film idea was simply awesome and perfectly executed!  Between your build and Chaos' build, I knew I was gonna have some really stiff competition.  Bravo!

With all due respect to Cannibal's epic win build and all the outstanding work by other contestants, I have to admit that this one was the one I voted for right down the line.

I think this may be THE nicest FINISH I have ever seen on any saber; just exquisitely BEAUTIFUL.

That finish and subtlety of detail of your work combined so perfectly with the overall sleekness of what we had to work with in the outstanding KEGR 2 design to produce something just so REGAL...I think of it as the kind of saber that a "Jedi Supreme Chancellor" during the New Sith Wars era in the Old Republic when the Jedi ruled over the Senate would have worn as a 'sign of office' like a King's crown or scepter is IRL...it is that REFINED in its elegance and sophistication.

There was a recent thread where we asked to list our 5 favourite sabers ever and I wanted so much to say this was one but couldn't because of the rules...now I'm going to find it and correct that.

*standing Ovation* BRAVO! on possibly the most gorgeous 'in universe' lightsaber [VV Arod Megil is in another category] that I've ever seen.

Beautiful finish :))

Haha... Well, it's a fool's errand, boy. The Emperor's army is infinite. You'll eventually be killed... or worse... and nothing will have changed.

I found that 5 sabers list thread and corrected my entry...

You can only own 5 Lightsabers....Name them!

You're Number 1 on my list [ok its a TIE but with Arod Megil which is as high praise as I can give considering how spectacular that saber is eh?].

If Rolls Royce or Christian Dior or Rolex or Hermes or Purdey made lightsabers this is the quality such a haute deluxe or 'bespoke' true-custom lightsaber would exhibit. I can only hope to make a saber this nice someday; you've really motivated me to 'up my game' and its going to have to be by a lot. BRAVO!
