WOW This thread depressed me a little to be honest, all i have is a Dremel :(
Id kill for just an hour in a shop like those featured here with a lathe, drill press and milling machine

I am learning that i will have to manage my expectations a little re what i can produce vs what can be produced with the right equipment
have to start somewhere though i guess

Haha, as of now, I own a dremel, a drill and a soldering iron. Since I am not an actual sabersmith, just an occasional builder, that is all I need.   :)

Here is my messy shop.  I stay so busy I don't get to clean up very well.  Anyway, I have a 12' x 28' shop with an Enco 13x40 lathe with DRO, a very old bridgeport mill, a vertical bandsaw, a very small drill press that I never use, a bench grinder and a belt sander.  For all of my electronic stuff and small projects like drilling and tapping covertec wheels and blade retention screws and all dremel work I do that in my kitchen at a little playschool picnic table.  I have a chair from my kitchen table that I sit in and work on the tiny little table.  LOL  You would be suprised how many sabers have been wired at that little table.  Anyway, here are some pics.  Also, I have an air compressor and I have air lines ran to each machine and one in a work area.

Belt Sander

Bench Grinder

View from back of shop to the front.  You can see the band saw and another shot of the mill

Some aluminum, delrin and brass stock

Some tooling and parts

Some custom tooling that I made

Shelves above my lathe hold most used tooling

Notice the vintage 1973 Realistic (Radio Shack) AM/FM Radio/alarm clock.  Hey, at least it is digital.   hehe
