Since I've never dueled with them,  I honestly can't say how well they'd hold up over time.  They do seem to be pretty strong,  though.  I think the blade might give before the adaptor would.  I usually thread the sinktube to match the adaptor,  so I don't think there'd be a problem with rounding out the screw holes.
