Should I try to get the rest of the mini sabers?? Is it worth it?

My co-worker keeps telling me I need to collect all the minis.  Not all the special ones, just the regular ones that are also in the movies.

Is it worth it?

How hard is it to get Luke ANH/ESB, Vader stuff from the original trilogy?

did they ever make a qui-gon mini?

YES YES and YES lol.  I'd highly reccomend getting your anh or esb sabers off ebay.  They normally sell for about 20 bucks with 4 dollars or so for shipping.  Also I'd reccomend using rebelscum.  Prop collectors on there are great and sell their used replicas for cheaper than what you'd see on ebay to help fellow collectors.

Well there are 42 sabers when you include all the color variants. I was thinking about doing the same but I think if i get them all it will only be the normal colors and maby a few exceptions like the Sidous saber that I'm working on now and the Obi ANH maybe.

I have all of the non-variant mini sabers, and I really enjoy them.  They really are a lot of fun to collect and allow for a far more complete collection than the LEs ever could.  I have my collection up in this thread, if you wanted to take a look at how they look together in a big display.

(Looking now I see that they're not all up in those pics but I feel you get the idea nonetheless.)

I got one for each character, not different versions of lightsabers for each character. THat way I can say I've got the lightsaber of all the characters .. he he..

I think that its really nice to have all the Movie Hilts.  That was my goal when I started collecting them.  Now I do have them all.  I currently have 18 Regular Movie Hilts.  I belive thats all of them.

I've got all the regular editions and a few variants.   Right now, there's no problem finding the OT ones.  The only three that are hard to come by are Luke ROTJ (blue tray), Obi-Wan AOTC, and Dooku AOTC.  I'd say get just the ones you want first, and wait for a good deal on the others.  As lazbum stated, forums like rebelscum are a great place to find deals on minis.

I ordered the sidious saber from TSV and received the gold variant which is real nice.  6 more to go and i think i'll about have all the regular ones.

I still need to get:

Vader ANH
Obi-Wan AOTC
Count Dooku AOTC

For a full set of "regulars"

Although I don't know if I'll even be able to get those last two, at least not for a reasonable price anyway.

I won the Obi AOTC off ebay, aother guy kept bidding on it and i spend most the day triying to out bid em and he finally gave up, that was prettin thrilling but i knew i wanted it.  Cost me aournd $100 plus shipping though.

Yeah, me too... I had the same goal and I also have all the regular movie hilts, and yes, they are 18... the only problem is that I still don't have the cases (I only have the case for the full Maul) Anyway... all the rubber o-rings of my Mauls got some wearing and  they broke off by themselves, without even touching them  >:( anyone with this same problem?
