I have encountered what seems to be a bug in the SaberSD. If the saber is turned off, and a kill key is not plugged in, the sound (but not light) will spontaneously turn itself on. At first I thought this might be some loop maxing out, but if that were the case, the time between turning the saber off (or removing the kill key) and the sound coming on would be the same every time. That is not the case. The first time it happened must have been a couple of hours after turning off the saber (and I nearly jumped out of my skin). Today I tested it once, and it turned on five minutes after unplugging the kill key. I'm testing it again, and I'm at 15 minutes and counting. It seems to be random. Has anyway else noticed this? Regardless, both the Hyperblade driver and the SaberSD draw power when the saber is off, so it's a good idea to plug in a kill key as soon as is practical after using the saber. It would be seriously embarrassing to be sitting in on some session at a con and suddenly have your saber turn its sound on!
