If you still can't get in touch with Hyperdyne, there are alternatives.

There are quite a few sabersmiths here on this forum who do conversions to single luxeon style hilts. Also, ultrasabers.com offers conversion and DIY sevice as does thecustomsabershop.com (DYI).

If you're heart is set on scrolling component style blades (sabers that have the leds in the blade the same as an MR or HasbroFX), you might want to get in touch with makotosai who is a member of this forum and specializes in component style sabers. You can find his website here--->http://blog.yam.com/marikoswork. Just scroll more towards the bottom of that page.

apparently jim forwards all hyperblade questions to mark.
any1 thinking of getting a hyperblade i would encourage you to do so i just took delivery of mine and its awesome

I am in the same boat as you, waiting on the soundboard.  Thanks for sharing the video, what a beautiful bright evenly lit blade!!!  :o

Another question please...

Q)  To your eyes, what shade of blue is your Hyperblade?  (Obviously it's brighter, but is it  the same shade of blue as your Obi-Wan Force FX?)

Interesting!  I heard it was a slightly lighter blue than the Force FX sabers.  It's hard to tell over the computer screen.  Thanks for letting me know, much appreciated.  Yeah Mark is a nice guy and he will be the one doing it for me.  I was going to hold off for a sound board but I think I might as well do what you did and get it with no sound for now.  Sorry darthsteve, I hope you dont mind,  2 more questions please...

Q)  Whats the balance like?  (i.e. Is the blade very heavy?)

and...

Q)  In your eyes, aproximately how much brighter would you say a Hyperblade is compared to your Force FX saber? 
 
BTW good choice getting it installed in a Luke ANH hilt, very nice!!!   :o

all the weight is defo in the blade if you were to balance it on your finger at the blade holder area the blade would pull down 1st.

and your 2nd question thers no competition atall when the hyperblade is powerd up next to my fx sabers it makes the fx sabers look really dim/dull
its defo the brightest saber iv evers seen.


the only issues i have with it and its only nit picking
are...
you can hear the leds rattling inside the blade when you swing it
and the battery doesnt last very long
but apart from that i love it and its up ther as 1 of my fave sabers

That is a slight bummer about the led rattling.  Mine will only be for swinging and display purposes so it's not too much of a problem for me.  Again, the blade looks amazing!!!  You have me all excited now!  ha ha.   :o

i always had that worry (that jim wouldnt finish the new board) but its a chance i decided to take. lets just hope jim gets it done
i know ALOT of people who are waiting for it so it would be worth while for jim to finish it however if ther was no board comming
id still be very happy with what iv got here and im sure their would be an alternative.

Sometimes it good to have silent stunt sabers too, especially so you can play with them and not wake the rest of the household up, ha ha.

im still waiting for sound as well. I got all my switches,accent led,shrouds and crystal chamber ready. Ive got $700 sitting in drawer waiting for the lead kit, MHS hilt, and.......sound board. ive been debating about getting Makato saber or going Luxeon due to the long delay. ive waited a year now for Hyperdynes sound board.

I'm curious what you spent $700 on if you still need all those parts?  I'm a bit confused.
