Congrats on getting your dream saber Ben! I am so glad you like it. I can hardly wait for mine to come. After 30 years you have it. Now you need one of Yoda's to make the circle complete.

Sooo...  what's the big deal with the on/off switch?

I don't get it.  You talked about it but didn't mention a thing about what was the big deal.

It's in the proper orientation on the hilt as compared to the ESB and anakin sabers. That and the switch has a definitive "CLICK" when you turn it on or off. It STAYS in place as opposed to many of the earlier FX's that were easy to accidentally shut off.

  Hey Ben

Glad I am for you! As one who will NOT be affording a Graflex any time soon- I like your idea of a Lux conversion with metal blade holder. Also it is clearly metal and not plastic. Perhaps THIN metal-but metal indeed!

I spect now I will just buy a Lux Cyan conversion-when Ultra has them for sale.

Thanks my friend and with the conversion and the metal blade holder it should be a perfect saber!! ;)

My first ANH FX, which I received in June, has no creaking AT ALL.

I recently received my second ANH FX.  The creaking on this one is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.  The saber is extremely noisy.

So I can now understand the frustration of many people.  If all the ANH FXs were like the first one I received, I think this saber would have gotten better reviews.

Inconsistant quality is a major problem with the MR FXs, that's for sure.

I had a feeling there was something like that going on. I think this issue has to be related in some way to the delays.

 ;)

You know i work for a major company and sometimes our customers have empty glass for their products sent to us from china and once in a while we have to throw away whole truck loads of glass because of small slivers of glass in the bottles;so,this is no different. The sabers are made in china and untill masterreplicas have a whole lot of bad feed back they would not know which are bad and which are not.Now Mine does have a crink;but, this don't bother me.I have ways to fix the problem.I guess like the old saying to each it's own. :D ;)

I got my first ever saber last week and its Luke's ANH too! Yeah it does creaks and the plastic holder's unsightly. I too, have desire to convert it at a much later stage!

Good review, makes me appreciate my ANH Luke ever more now but the speaker on mine are very staticky, darn!
