Has anyone attempted to access the SD card? Is there a best way to access it? I cannot see how to slide the CF out without damaging the wiring beneath the card.

I haven't touched min but I think VV sort of walks is through it on the video for mine. Can't remember but I thought it was discussed in at least one of the videos.

If it's the same as a run1, undo the Velcro strap and slide the CF to the side with the speaker connections/SD card.

I recall the video. He just mentions sliding it out.

It is different. There is no velcro strap. I don't have it with me at work to take a picture, but there is a metal rod connecting the speaker case to the top section of the hilt and the pressure between that and the batteries and wiring beneath is holding it in place.

mine just slides to the side.  takes a firm push, but nothing hard enough to be worried about.  I still have to tweak my fonts.   I need some variety.  when I do that I'll be sure to take note of anything special I have to do.

Yes. I spent a good deal of time capturing numerous clips from the game that I want to put on the saber. Not to mention backing up all the files that are on the SD card, since no disc came with the saber.

The wires underneath the CF board make me nervous. Some look very tight with no apparent play to move.

I rewatched the videos on the second run and there is a Velcro strap. My saber is missing it.

mine doesn't have one either.  I assume it wasn't necessary this time due to the extra wiring

I really want to slide the CF out to access the SD card but those wires between the two boards (the bent ones) make me nervous.

one other note is to be sure no wires get stuffed between the highest point on the board and the threaded rod before you push it back in place

Great how-to video, Alex. Do your wires on the bottom side look like my picture that I posted, especially those S shaped tight wires between the two boards? did they move at all? Thanks again  :)

I built up my courage and removed the SD card.

I was able to now shorten the boot2.wav (Vader breathing and walking sound) for bank6. On my saber (which I assume all are the same) the boot2.wav had about 8 seconds of silence after the boot sound finished.

When I first got my saber and accessed bank6 (Call of Rage) the first boot sound selected was boot2.wav. When the sound ended, I tried to turn on the saber and it would not turn on. I had a few previous out of the box fails and I feared this was another. Instead I just had to wait for the 8 seconds of silence to finish playing.
