I like this review.  Kind of reminded me of a sales person or something at the beginning but all in all good review.  But Once I Bought my Anakin ROTS they had one more Vader ESB and I was like that really looks tempting but I didn't get it.  But after a day or two of reading reviews on it I was like yeah better go ahead and get it.  So after getting it I really noticed what was stated in these reviews.  The blade was definitely bright red.  And I noticed like you stated there wasn't a wobble or any blotches or dark spots in the blade.  And you were definitely right about the sounds.  After swinging this one around I was like that sounds really good.  And I love that crisp idle hum, so so cool.

That's the whole issue with this site. I got there in the first place as I was trying to get a few videos of the anakin ROTS. At this point it was supposed to be my only saber.

Now after reading raving reviews of other sabers, I have ordered the vader ESB and I am really warming up to the Luke ROTJ against my better judgement. I really think that due to the available technology, the ROTJ hilt is less than satisfying as a replica, but raving reviews about how great the ignited green blade is, I am about to get it anyway.

The fact that I have settled in a new place doesn't help since I can self-convince myself that I need new stuff to furnish some rooms (nevermind that I have litterally crates full of action figures, posters and so on...  ;D)

Thanks for the review...
I just got the ANAKIN ROTS, and Im considering the VADER ESB, but really want to research it

so far the General concencus is that the ANAKIN ROTS is the best overall FX to get, and im hearing that this is another 'first one' to get or 'a close second' if your getting a second for the collection...

still apprehensive, but these review help alot

Im actually really impressed with this forum so far..

The Vader ESB is a great saber, the Luke ROTJ is a good saber as well, as far as display sabers, the Luke ESB or the Mace ROTS are great, I do duel with the Vader ESB, Anakin ROTS and Luke ROTJ and they withstand alot of punishment and still look great, with the Luke ESB or the Mace ROTS I was to careful and afraid it was going to break, so I decided to let them be display only.

Not at all, DT.

The Anakin ROTS and Vader ESB are the most durable, though since they are also the latest generation of Force FX's, they are generally better sabers all-around. I'd reccomend the Anakin ROTS to anyone who's just getting into FX sabers. The Vader would be a close second, though, as it's the best in overall workmanship.  :)

I think the best sabers to 'start' your collection are the  Anakin ROTS and Vader ESB.  they are the closest in look/feel to a "real" lightsaber (1:1 prop replica) and they both have a good solid blade.

the Mace has quality control issues with the blotchy colors on the blade, and the Luke ROTJ is not a true 1:1 prop replica (not that there's anything wrong with that);  the Vader ESB and Anakin ROTS give the best overall first impression.

(IMO)

follow your avatar and make the right choice  ;D
(and IMO for the stand the vader hilt is more elaborate and better looking than the anakin "chrome simple tube")
