Your Krayt Bone Technique
« on: March 15, 2012, 01:59:49 PM »
I have been watching your development of this technique on your you tube uploads I am trying to come up with my own simulation technique. However I do not want to have the krayt bone effect because I don't want to ripe off your design. I do not want to say the design I am working on but I wish to ask you a question.

I am trying pvc pipe that I am cutting and texturing to try to pull off the effect. In your opinion is this material the best material to use as a covering or effect?

If you wish to know the effect to help you judge if that is the best material pm me and I will tell you it. I will only tell you inconfidence.

Whit PVC pipe can be made to look like bone for sure. And it's realitively cheap - so buy an 8 foot length and experiment.

A small drum sanding wheel on your dremmel can make it look like antler, or the bone handle on alot of hunting knives.
