Hi Qui-Gon Jinn,
I'm new here, but I was wondering if you or one of the other Masters could help me out.
I bought a new but defective MR FX ANAKIN EP2 (EL blade, 2002) for $30 (handle and blade are perfect, it does light up and sound too, though it sometimes fllickers out) with the idea of changing it to a a single Luxeon LED blade anyway, maybe boost the sound too... but...
I'm trying to figure out how to disassemble it without damaging it too much. I haven't been able to find anyone who has diassembled that model (Anakin 2002, EL blade). I've removed the lower handle, and black PVC coupler, plus a few screws and knobs, but I don't see how to remove the power switch assembly(aside from popping out the slider). The top chrome ring just moves slightly but seems to be held on the side of the switch. The blade with the battery pack can be moved sligthly (up-down, turned), but it wont just slide one way of the other, certainly because of the power switch... Any idea how to remove that switch without damaging it? There is a rivet looking stud on the bottom of the power switch, but it seems to be held really tight against the switch assembly. Is that the key part? any idea how to remove it?
I saw in your gallery how you've built a virtually identical lightsaber, so i thought you might know how or know someone who does.... before I try -sorry- do... something drastic. I'd like to keep it intact as much as possible ;-)
Thanks
May the Force be with me... ( It obiously is strong with you guys)
