Clamp Questions

Quick couple of questions about this item:



Firstly this will pertain to those using this clamp with MHS pieces from TCSS.

How well does the clamp sit over the hilt pieces, imagine a 8" DF. Is it loose enough that it will need to be secured to the hilt with something, (a setscrew perhaps?) to avoid rotating?

Also, will a standard bubble strip from TCSS fit into these clamps?

I heard that to be able to put these to MHS, you have to put 1.5" sinktube under them, and that sinktube over your MHS.

I think that a set screw would do better than without.

Yes, they have to be shimmed and yes they accept the bubble strip.  I would also use a buttonhead screw to secure them.
