hey guys....lets all learn and talk about the back story of Kyle Katarn! ;)

If you guys want to see him in a live action I suggest playing old school game Jedi Knight Dark Forces II. I have the cutscenes but they are huge files to share because it's about an hour or more long. What I'm also curious about Kyle it didn't really explain that his father Morgan Katarn was force sensetive and transformed into the force. So maybe that's when he discovered he was force sensetive as well. Qu Rahn was one of the Jedis who escaped order 66 then came across Yoda in Dagobah in Expanded Universe story to train him and later he gave his lightsaber to Kyle and asked him to learn the ways of the Force.

Hm, didn't Katarn not stay a Jedi though, or am I thinking of someone else?
Sorry, I'm not up to date on my EU lore, aside from knowing the fact that Luke gets married to some girl named Mara Jade, and playing the KOTOR games. :-\

In the events of Jedi Outcast he didn't want to be involve in the Jedi teachings, instead he prefered working with Mon Mothma. Later a Dark Jedi Dessan was a threat to the galaxy and Kyle had lost his Force powers back then. He was too weak to face Dessan and made believe Kyle's partner Jan Ors was executed by Tavion in Dessan's favor. With so much anger and to seek revenge he went back to the Valley of the Jedi. In the valley he wanted to regain his Force powers back but the Force ghost of Morgan Katarn warned Kyle for his intentions of revenge. Later, Kyle return to Yavin IV in Luke's Jedi Academy and retrain the teachings of the Jedi.

Hmm...
I don't see how one can lose their force powers like that?? Then again, the EU is hardly canon, but it does have a few good ideas.

He simply stop using them and did not manage to use them in his missions. It is like in KOTOR II when the Jedi Exile was cast out of the Jedi Order and went to the unknow regions, when that happens they lose the abilities of the Force and would have to go through training again to regain Force powers.

Well at least Katarn didn't become an absence in the force, right? What kind of lightsaber did he use?

His first lightsaber was given by his father from a droid which showed the holocron of Morgan Katarn and left a message to Kyle to learn the ways of the Force. The lightsaber belonged to Jedi Knight Qu Rahn, a green blade and later passed to Morgan Katarn.

Jedi outcast is awesome i love the Bespin boards very reminiscent of ESB, Jedi academy was very good too, i just wanted more BIG lightsaber battles, big not in massive like important battles. and ACademy got a bit redundant but overall it owned

ya Jedi Outcast was soo good cuz it was VERY OT style, i think Jedi Academy kinda broke away from that.

I think KOTOR 2 had better class and battle options, though, but the game itself was WAY glitchy.

Thats pretty much the general concensus I get on Kotor II. It had better gameplay, but Kotor I had a much better story. I've played through the first one at least 5 or 6 times. I would love to play the Dark Forces game with the Jarec and the his Dark Jedi. I'll probably have to find it on ebay.

oh geez i tried going back and playing Dark Forces on PC and ahhh the graphics are just terrible lol, i cant believe thats what we played. I really couldnt do it it made my eyes hurt.

I know what you mean, I tried to go back and play soul calibur for ps1. The graphics were so bad, I had to stop.

yeah, that'd be sweet if kyle showed up in the show, i never played KOTOR II b 4 ...is it good?

ya Kotor II is awesome, the story is nowhere near as good the first, but the gameplay in my opinion is better there is just so much to do and so much more jedi things to find (lightsaber crystals, robes, etc.) it does have some glitches but i never ran into any on the xbox. Over all id say its a very good game, i love the fact that you can make your character soo strong lightside or darkside

wow cool find Boba itd be cool to play these games cuz back whe i was that young when these games came like Dark Forces 1 and 2 i just put in cheats and skipped through everything so i barely know the story to the first 2 so id like to go back and play em, i hope we see more of Katarn in the future.

I disagree! >:( KOTOR 2 had very cool story and I liked the game even more, than 1st KOTOR. KOTOR 1 has simple story. Good, but simple. But KOTOR 2 story is very complicated and interesting. KOTOR 2 rocks!
