Dude, this is the only saber I have seen to date that rivals the cool features of Madcow's personal saber (forget it's name  :-\ ) sorry Rob  :shy:

Amazing saber, amazing backstory, amazing blaster feature. It all fit's together so well, the saber looks great in both blaster and saber configuration, and that stand man....

Basically this is my favorite saber design yet, and I don't have to think twice about it  ;D

That is the most amazing saber-blaster! I love the knurled locking screw inside the pistol grip, that's ingenious engineering. Along with so many other features. The lit brass tubes are incredible. So much imagination in this.

I'm so blown away, I feel nauseous... Then when I saw the blaster conversion, chunks flew out of my nose sockets.  Omg, great execution.  I'm predict a trend in the near future. Wow.

It's been an honor being in this contest. Everyone brought something unique to the table and it's been great fun to see everyone's designs. Rogue is truly a work of sci-fi art and great execution of a very original idea. Well deserved win ! :)

what happens when the gun grip is fitted is it running from a blaster core? or is it still the cf? and how exactly does that work?
how are you getting blaster fx and not saber?

I can see you have a 'trigger' set up on the gun handle section, if it works as an aux switch then I guess on almost any saber font you could use the blaster block sounds, by 'pulling' the trigger. Kudos on the build, love the vertical mounted speaker. So much lateral thinking on a saber that once again lifts aloft the high water mark for build ideas/inspiration! I hope you get to look at this every day and enjoy your efforts.

Congratulations on a very well deserved victory...in fact this whole saber is so stuffed to the limits - and beyond - with Epic Win that you've utterly shattered paradigms of what we thought sabers could be...BRAVO!

I am almost glad I didn't get in to the contest because now I can steal ideas for my own Kegger 2. ;)

Just kidding...though I'm sure that this build will have so many admirers that it will inspire other builds for years to come - you've really raised the bar and we will all have to up our games which will be good for the entire saber hobby...Thanks for that.

Does this mean that the K3GR2 will eventually be offered as a run, or are you just in with the right people? ;)

Some of us bought them but were unable to participate in the contest due to time constraints.

Huh. This must have happened before I became a member around here, or maybe I just missed it completely haha.

Or was this run not available to the general populace from the get go?

JSSDC is a different forum.  This run occurred there as Wat mentioned in the contest post JSSDC K3GR2 Saber run and contest.

Luminara is correct...sorry for any confusion my ill fated attempt at humour caused. Let me be clear my intention is never to copycat anyone else's work but I do seek inspiration from the best work of peers and this is fine work indeed. My point was that this great saber is full of brilliant ideas that were brilliantly executed which thus can and I believe will inspire many people in the saber building hobby. Such inspiring masterpieces are good for the entire community and therefore praiseworthy imo.
