I am about to buy the Anikan and the vader FX sabers, My question is on brightness. I have been told the vader is more pinkish/orange and not actually red, and it is also not very bright in comparison to the other blue sabers.  Is this true? also what saber models are better to procure? I just have to get and FX saber to go with  my vader supreme edition costume.
But I thought it would be a nice addition to grab an anikan saber as well.

Any thoughts?

Has any one come up with a way to maintain color, but increase the brightness, loudness, while preserving the power up and down features of the fx yet? Is master replicas working on that as we speak?

Let me first start by saying welcome and then say you can't realy judge the Red FFX's from pictures.  In actuality, both the Vader Sabers are a brilliant Red color.  No orange, no pink, no yellow...just RED.   In fact, the Vader is actually just as Bright as the Anakin.   Why it doesn't look as bright is due to wavelength of that color in the spectrum.   Our eyes just don't register Red like they do the Blue.  MR conducted Tests and used a light meter on the TESB Vader and Anakin and they registered very near to the same.

Go ahead and get the TESB Vader FFX.  Its a GREAT saber.  Size and detail is superb.  Great weight and quite loud sounds.  I used mine when I wore my Supreme Ed. Costume. (see this thread for a look at mine: http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=1133.0)  There is just nothing sweeter than the evil sound of a Sith lightsaber igniting.  Grab one while they are readily available.
The only reason you would want to get the ANH vader is if you seriously get into Collecting the FFX's and want to have them all, other than that just get what you want.

i love the coiled look on the inside of the emitter, thats hot! gives it more a mechanical look to it, which i like so much more then the plain nothing emitter.

Does the ANH and ESB have exactly the same color or is there a slight diference like with the Luke ESB and Anakin ROTS?

Same Blade color for both.   The sounds are slightly different, though.

I've noticed that the ESB does have the better diffuser ,  like the one in the the anakinROTS as compared to the Luke ESB.

the diffuser in the Vader ANH is slightly different from the one in the Vader ESB.  you can see a slight difference in color when the blade is "OFF".
but in the case of the red blade, it doesn't make a difference in color when the blade is "ON".    the "color" of the ignited blade IS the same for both..

..but I think the ESB has a smoother (less blotchy) appearance because of the new diffuser.   *shrug*

No orange, no pink, no yellow...just RED.

@ night on halloween they look the same color as the tail-lights on your car  ;) they're that red.

(in fact.. if you've ever seen a car with 'LED' tail-lights.. its the same exact color as the LED saber)
