Great review.  congrats on your new Vader!!!!

Thanks for the kind words fellas.

I honestly don't mind that it has the recyled sounds, but I got this saber because I've never had the Vader saber.  I don't plan on getting the ESB since as I have said before I'm not fond of the design except for the wires.

i get you man, i mean, yes we are kinda tired of the same sounds, but of all the stock MR sabers, Vader's sounds are the best, and they havent been repeated in lots of sabers, like with the jedi sabers.  So it's ok that it has the same sounds cause they are AWESOME!  I am glad you liked your Vader, i look forward to getting one.  Congrats once again!!!

Thanks Aayla! :)

I think you'll enjoy the saber, despite the fact it has recyled sounds from the ESB. :)

Greetings

I've seen the pictures and the Vader looks shorter than the Anakin indeed, but also smaller, is that so?
The sounds are recycled, but are they a bit differend like the Maul, or louder?
The blade, is it a bit brighter too?

Thank you.

Darth Matth.

Yes the Vader ANH 2007 is smaller than the Anakin ROTS.

As I stated in my review they recyled ESB sounds.  The Maul had recyled ESB sounds as well.  The sounds are loud though.

The blade for my Vader seems to be brighter than my Maul.

I agree.  It's too bad they didn't put pictures of each character on the older boxes.

I got mine in the mail today and its heavier than the ESB model, which is nice, excellant hilt, the box is great to.  Overall I give it a 9, its a little brighter than the my ESB which both had fresh batteries

Great Review Big T!

Like Sifo said, the saber is MUCH heavier than the TESB version.  I would say that the ANH version makes the TESB seem like a Hasbro when you compare the two in weight.  I really like that hefty feel to it.

Big T, I noticed in your review that you said that it was possible for you to accidentily hit the switch off when spinning?  I have to say mine doesn't have that problem as the switch itself is VERY tight and I even have problems turning it on when I mean to.  It takes quite a bit of force to move the switch on mine.

I have to say, even for those that have a TESB version...you really need to get this one as it is the nicest Vader yet.

May The Force FX Be With You!

Thanks :)

As far as the switch goes, it was pretty loose I guess when I recieved it.  I was able to turn it off and on no problem and one time during a spin I accidently hit that and the saber went off.

For the ESB hilt... like I've been saying I don't want duplicate sabers in my collection.  I know that the Vader ESB saber is slightly different to the ANH but over all they still are the same saber.  I don't need every incarnation of each saber. :)

I know you're gonna say, "But you bought the Luke ESB"... that's because I really wanted to have that old one in my collection and to see what others were saying about it.  Other than that, that will be the only incarnation of Luke's saber I'll get.  Well I plan to get the ANH one since I want the more accurate one. ;)
