Title: How are the saber stands supposed to fit?
Post by: scohrdarkshadow on December 21, 2013, 07:09:24 PM
So I bought this stand (I think it's from force fx)?
Star Wars Lightsaber Stand | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/201004356759?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)

Just wondering how the clear holders are supposed to fit into the black base. One holder is completely loose and slips out if I turn the base upside down. The other one is really jammed, like it's too big for the base. Really have to use a lot of force to shove it in, and it doesn't go in completely (maybe 1-2cm from fully going in)

Take the loose one and put it in the one that jams and vice versa. Seems like one hole and post is bigger than the othe hole and post.

I've tried that, tried flipping them around too so the small prongs are in front. The posts are actually from different models (they're actually shaped slightly differently), so definitely going to return. Just wanted to know in the future if I buy used again, how should I expect them to fit?

Certain sabers had two different arms.  In particular, the Dooku and the Ventress IIRC.  If you are looking for a regular stand for a straight saber, make sure it was not from one of models.
